i have it and it does just about anything you want it to because it gets so hot. it easily straightens very curly hair, and you can add a curl or wave to the hair depending on the angle you hold it at. if you have curly hair, i suggest it.

i have this annoying wave in my hair, on only one side of my head, and the chi takes it right out when all the other hair styling techniques won't.

My sister has a chi and her hair is naturally curly they are the best!!! I haven't seen it curl hair but i know you can crimp it by pulling it down a little stopping then do that over and over again. But it is mostly used to straighten hair. Their is only one setting the on and off button. It heats up really quick and i think It's worth the money. It only takes 15-20 min. and that's for little longer than shoulder Lenght hair so that's really good.

Hope This Helps!

The chi is supposedly one of the best flat irons, but I disagree. My friend and I both had one and I wasn't very satisfied. You can curl and straighten your hair with pretty much any flat iron, but I'm not sure about crimping. I'm sure you could, but personally, I would stick to a crimper. Anyway, if you are planning on spending a lot and you want a high quality flat iron, I would highly recommend the Solia tourmaline flat iron, which is what I have, or the SuperStar SuperNova professional styling iron, which is what my friend has. They are extremely good and both last a long time.

The Chi is a ceramic flat iron. Ceramic is more gentle on your hair. The only thing I can think of is maybe they came out with plates you slide in and out of the actual appliance part to create the crimp or curled look. But the last I knew it was just a straightening device. No, you would not be able to use it just like a straightener to achieve a curly look. With a straightener you just pull all the way through shaft of your hair, root to ends to make it flat. Curling you'd actually have to do some sort of twisting around an iron to get a curl. Crimping, looks like a flat iron but has jagged plates rather than flat, and you open and close plates together all the way down hair shaft. They are all different devices. The reason the Chi is so exspensive is because it has ceramic plates, it's worth the money if you use a flat iron on a daily basis and want to do less damage to your hair, thats all. Hope I helped a little!

i had one very expensive and it broke very fast dont get them get ones from a local aupplier like sally's beauty supply and they woork gret maybe better than the chi there only $40 instead of a $100

Can someone tell me about the chi flat iron?

YES....it's the best flat iron I've ever owned in my life!!!!!!

They are expensive, but when you buy one you'll understand why...I've had mine for like 3 yrs now %26amp; I love it...it still heats up faster than my old curling iron...

High-end hair straighteners have ceramic heating elements, which cause less damage to hair %26amp; is more effective %26amp; heat up faster than a non-ceramic coated heating plates. Less expensive brands usually DON'T have ceramic heating elements...they'll paint like it is, but really it's not.

Depending on your hair...repeated use of hair straighteners (like most other heat styling tools) can cause varying amounts of damage such as split ends, thinning of the hair %26amp; even causing hair to become brittle %26amp; prone to breakage.Your hair will show signs of "damaged hair", however, many companies, such as L閳ユ┉real or Tresemme, have made a heat protection sprays %26amp; creams which reduces the amount of damage that is caused by the straighteners that you can buy.

All of my friends who ask me about me if it was worth it...I'm gonna tell you exactly what I told them...

If you go out to wal-mart %26amp; buy a cheep non-ceramic flat iron brand ...it's gonna break or it's just not gonna work as fast....

Then you're gonna have to spend more $$$$...that adds up real quick %26amp; by the time you spent over $100 or more in a year or two...you're gonna wish you spent it on Chi...be/c you pratically spent that kind of $$$ anyways, why not buy the Chi...im telling ya...it's worth it

Can someone tell me about the chi flat iron?

Yes, it does curl, crimp, and straighten your hair (like magic)

Steps to make fine silky straight hair:

1) Apply a heat protective serum on your hair

2) Straighten your hair with the CHI Flat Iron

3) your done.

yes yes yes. it is 100% worth buying.

it works better than any other striaghner.

other hair straightners make your hair frizzy, and they add more damage. but CHI is more advanced. therefore it works much better.

good luck
