How do i get pin straight hair .. i have a chi striaghtener but it doesnt seem to work?

i have a chi flat iron i use that and my conair one everymorning .. once in a while its straight but within a half hour it has waves in it .. also how do i keep it straight all day.

How do i get pin straight hair .. i have a chi striaghtener but it doesnt seem to work?

Keep straighting it, you hair will do what is was naturally made to do. Maybe try getting it chemically relaxed

How do i get pin straight hair .. i have a chi striaghtener but it doesnt seem to work?

i have a revlon stritener and it really works for me

How do i get pin straight hair .. i have a chi striaghtener but it doesnt seem to work?

i have a chi striaghtener also and my hair is naturally veryyy curly and frizzy. when my hair is dry i usually separate it into 5 sections the night before and straighten each section while combing at the same time. It usually takesa bout 10 runs on the flat iron for each section. then tie it in a loww pony when you sleep and retouch it in the morning....its usually pin straight by the time i leave home.

Go to a salon and have it chemically straightened, touch it up with your flat iron. The chemicals they use can be similar to perm solution so it does change the internal structure of your hair and will feel different, you will also have to be care full if you colour your hair. If this sounds too permanent for you try smoothing serums or a stronger styling aid (gel or mousse) when using your flat iron.

My hair has a natural wave to it and I wear it straight every day. My trick, which maybe will work for you. First I use Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine shampoo, then I use the Sleek n Shine conditioner. When using the conditioner be sure to squeeze as much water out of your hair as possible, so the conditioner will actually stick to your hair. Another tip is to put more conditioner at the ends of your hair rather than the roots. Then rinse out the conditioner with warm water, then turn the water as cold as you can possibly stand, this will close your hair cuticle. Then after I get it out of the shower I blow dry my hair straight using a brush. Be sure to use your cool blast option if you have it on your hairdryer. Then lastly, I use my revlon CERAMIC straightener; it helps if you use clips and straighten one section of hair at a time. I don't know anything about that chi flat iron you use, but a ceramic straightener is the key! Also, I know Garnier has other Sleek n Shine products, give those a try if you need to, their products are great!!! Good luck

I buy something from thermasilk called smooth and straight or something like that. Anyway, when I straighten my hair I seperate it into sections and I put the cream on it and then use my straightner.

I have a revlon straightner btw.

It works really well.

I would try it.

Help with shortening getting-ready time & growing out hair!?

I use both a CHI straightener, which I'm happy with, and this amazing blow drier, but it takes me all of 30 minutes to do my hair :( I've tried thinning, which I desperately need this week, but my hair grows thick again really fast. I also want my hair to be much longer. Im completely sure there is no such thing as a hair product that thins, lengthens, and reduces the amount of time on blowdrying. Are there a few different products that I can try together do help reduce blowdrying time as well as lengthens? As for price and thinning ability, im not so worried about :) thanks!

Help with shortening getting-ready time %26amp; growing out hair!?

I don't know about products to thin your hair, but they do sell shampoos (I think L'Oreal or even L'Oreal Kids make one) that are meant to let your hair dry quickly once you get out of the shower. As far as lengthening products go, I wouldn't really believe anything that says it will make your hair grow. Usually those types of products are too expensive, and if it's something like a pill you're supposed to take, I'd stay away because I'd be worried about where else it would make hair grow! What I do want to try, though, is that new line of Herbal Essences that is meant for growing your hair long, because it's supposed to be formulated to keep your hair stronger while you grow it out. I think it's meant to strengthen and keep your hair from getting split ends so that when you go for a regular trim, you don't have to cancel out all the growing you've done by having to cut all the dead ends off.

Help with shortening getting-ready time %26amp; growing out hair!?

well idk bout shortening ur time but if u wnna grow ur hair faster it's good if u put it in a pony tail a lot that'll help it grow much longer, faster. hope i helped

Help with shortening getting-ready time %26amp; growing out hair!?

to make your hair grow try taking vitamins prenatal is the best ( most women take it when they're pregnant because it has double! haha ) as for hair just shower at night and let it air dry over night, it is so much better for your hair, and it will help with time.

Has anyone every used the MaxiGlide hair straightener AND the CHI? Which one is better?

I have the CHI and it has always worked well but I think one with bristles like the MaxiGlide would be easier and work better.

Has anyone every used the MaxiGlide hair straightener AND the CHI? Which one is better?

My daughter uses the Chi and it does really well on her hair which is naturally curly.

Has anyone every used the MaxiGlide hair straightener AND the CHI? Which one is better?

MaxiGlide

I have long and wavy hair. i use chi iron twice a week does it damage my hair?

uve got the best one!!

as long as u r using a spray in heat protectant with the flat iron ur a- okay

I have long and wavy hair. i use chi iron twice a week does it damage my hair?

welcome to d club..i hav long and wavy hair too. wads worse is my hair structure is brittle and fizzy. my hair spoils my whole image. regardles of hw hard i try to comb it down, use whatever conditioner there is, it doesnt turnout as how i want it. ironing your hair twice a week doesnt harm your hair in short term, but in the long run, it does alot more harm than u can ever imagine.

what i have been doing since 5yrs ago, i went for hair rebonding. permanent straight hair without much maintenance. once a week home treatment as well as conditioner each shampoo is all tht i need to keep it soft and manageable.

the 'straightened' hair wont go back wavy. the only time you need to return to your hairdresser is when ur new-grown hair gets to your nerves*grin* as for me, i go to hair dresser once a year=)

How to curl hair with the chi turbo staightner?

I use my straightener to curl my hair all the time.

You can start and the top of the section of hair you wish to curl, and then pull down slowly and turn the straightener at the same time.

Or turn the straightener up vertically, and do the same thing to get more ringlet curls.

That is the best way I can explain it.

Hope this helps.

Best hair straightener?

I have curly thick frizzy dry red hair. What would be the best straightener for me. I used the ceramimc hot tools one and all the coating chipped off and the chi striaghtener was a huge waste of money also. Any other suggestions?

Best hair straightener?

the f-h-i and or the sedu

use redken smooth dow heat glide as well

Best hair straightener?

You can pick it up at Mervyns for about the same price it says on the website, about 58$

Best hair straightener?

revlon straighter

Best hair straightener?

coraliss [im not completely sure nthat is the right spelling] it is about $80 but it ius totally worth it! It works really good and really fast and it gets really hot. good luck! [i also suggest getting straightening cream so that a straightener doesn't reck ur hair, and herbal essences "pin straight" shampoo.]

Best hair straightener?

I use GVP. It's the knock-off version of the Chi. Funny thing is, it works a lot better than a Chi and costs about half.

Best hair straightener?

without doubt ghd's!

i swear they are miracle workers!

Best hair straightener?

Isinis straighter works amazing. I have thick hair and my straightener makes my hair pin straight and shiny Look it up

I straighten my hair with a chi every morning..and i get split ends and my hair barely grows?..and s

I would strongly suggest getting the split ends cut off. If you're like me, you hate hair cuts. But your hair won't grow with split ends because they'll continue to split up the strand... Your hair may also be weak and breaking off close to the root. Before you straighten your hair, it's best to put a protector on your strands... Also, use a leave in conditioner and try eating healthy foods with plenty of vitamins. Blood circulation promotes hair growth. When you shampoo your hair, use your finger tips (not nails) and massage for about a minute before rinsing. Good Luck.

I straighten my hair with a chi every morning..and i get split ends and my hair barely grows?..and suggestions

Stop straightening it. Just put some frizzease in in and some garnier curl creme and you've got an awesome style! Be glad you have natural texture!

I straighten my hair with a chi every morning..and i get split ends and my hair barely grows?..and suggestions

Stop applying all that crap to your hair and it will come back. Even a Chi will damage your hiar.

I straighten my hair with a chi every morning..and i get split ends and my hair barely grows?..and suggestions

before u straighten ur hair why dont u put some hair product in ur hair that stops frizziness and make sure u oil ur ends why dont u straighten ur hair every 2 weeks. u should start using almond oil or cocunut oil to make it grow.

I straighten my hair with a chi every morning..and i get split ends and my hair barely grows?..and suggestions

I straiten my hair allot and I have long hair and I just had all my split ends cut off and they had to cut 51/2 inches, first u need to get your hair cut, then to style your hair if u have curly hair u can in the morning after u tack your shower u can put Matrix Curl Life Mousse in it and scrunch it and if u have a diffuser u can use it if not u scrunch it with your hands and after done use hair spray but not to much, that works nice and dose not split ends, hope I helped,

also if u want to straiten it every once in a blue moon, u need to get Chi Silk Infusion, and Chi 44 Iron Guard Spray, this will protect your a little bit and make it silky smooth. I use it all the time.

I straighten my hair with a chi every morning..and i get split ends and my hair barely grows?..and suggestions

Try Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

I had the HerStyler and i loved it, it was great for my long/very long frizz hair but it broke after a year so i got the maxiglide i heared bad and good reviews about it but i just ignored them and i got it anways i am now very disaponited i hate it, it tangles my hair it doesnt even change it and it make it smell like burned hair and i was thinking about the sedu it seems great i dont really no and i dont want to make the same mistake please help you can help me with those or recommened something different but no the chi.please help.

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

Chi's do not last long. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

Curling with a Sedu:

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

The Sedu is also a lot better than a GHD at a cheaper price.

Fredrik Fekkai and Nexxus make good heat protectants.

The MaxiGlide is a steam straightener and so it basically "cooks" your hair.

Sedu!

Hope I helped!

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

MAXIGLIDE!

forever i thought that sedu or chi would work, get maxiglide!!

i have one,its absolutely amazing!

i cant go a day without it.

it straightnens soo good.

i have wavy and totally frizzy hair, but it makes my hair SO shiny and SO silky and its straight as a board! Report It

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

sedu is great.

What do you think the maxiglide hair straightener or the sedu?

for sure the sedu..i have the 1 1/2 in sedu and i love it..by far the best iron i have ever had..and i have curly, frizzy, thick hair..i got it at folica.com..they also just came out with a new hair straightner from sedu..called the sedu revolution..its about $130...but im sure its worth it..so check out folica.com..they are an amazing hair care website..hope i helped : )

Girls with curly hair...I've got tight curls, everyone says leave it, but..I need it straight!

My family and friends say, just leave it curly- like hey, it's your normal hair, but THEY are the ones with the stunning wavy hair, so it's not like they endure it and are saying that! When I straighten it with my Farouk CHI, after a day its stunning wavy, and I love it- but what do you do when you straighten, do you shampoo or condition extra? I hate when showering all of a sudden, here comes the curls..like I know its gorgeous, but not when they're frizzy and puffy and you cant even make out the curls really cuz its covered in frizz!

Girls with curly hair...I've got tight curls, everyone says leave it, but..I need it straight! I use a Chi

Okay if you want the curly without the frizz, you might wanna try this:

Get the Infusium 23 Frizz Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave in treatment (if it is super frizzy get the Infusium 23 Frizz control intense infusier) and do what you would normally do (wash hair then condion, then the extra conditioner (optional) then after you get out of the shower put the leave in treatment in and run through with your fingers. you can put your hair in a bun and then sleep in it and your hair will be frizz free, also dont brush your hair when its wet (you probably have dry/brittle hair so when its wet and you brush it you create breakage therefore causing frizz) I HAVE THE EXACT SAME TYPE OF HAIR AND I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING THIS WORKS WONDERS!!!!

for straighter hair:

Straight hair use the matrix stuff that comes in the orange bottle called Straight.look (or Suave has a genaric of it called Suave Professionals that works like the matrix and is basically the same thing it even says it on the bottle) wash your hair with that and then straighten your hair, your hair will always go back to its natural form so its just something you will have to get used too, but what you can do is if you want the straighter/wavier look all you have to do is get a powder shampoo(its kinda expensive though) and after you straighten your hair when it starts to get greasy shake some of the powder shampoo onto your hair and brush through. and if you need to take a shower purchase a shower cap they are like $1-2 at walmart.

Hopefully this helps and Good Luck!!!

Girls with curly hair...I've got tight curls, everyone says leave it, but..I need it straight! I use a Chi

I have really curly it is impossible to manage. I know that feeling. The best way to do it is to use a Solia,m I use it and it works. To stop frizz you could put mouse on it. Also to make your hair less frizzy, you should try using more conditioner. It makes my curls silky and frizz-free. Trust me, this works great

Girls with curly hair...I've got tight curls, everyone says leave it, but..I need it straight! I use a Chi

use the chi oil..you can buy it in the salon where you bought your chi..my hair is like yours and the chi oil helps, but does COMPLETELY help..if you have tight curls you will just have to straighten a lot..like everyday..and use a weekly deep conditioner

Girls with curly hair...I've got tight curls, everyone says leave it, but..I need it straight! I use a Chi

I have a chi, before i straighen my hair i wash it with Tres emme shampoo anti-breakage then use the conditioner (for breakage protection). The I blow dry down into my hair to reduce the frizz, then after my hair is completely dry i straighen it one layer at a time. I also use Biosilk Silk Therapy Serum. Keeps my hair nice and straight!!!

PHI? Sedu? Solia? CHI? GHD? JDL? which one will work best for my thick curly long black hair?

I have been staring at thousands of reviews since morning. There are tons of pro. straighteners out there- but which one is for mee?

I have thick long black hair which is in great condition, its really shiny, but tends to get frizzy if i brush it too much. I've bought a Conair straightener [ewww- i know] and it pretty muchs sucks and damages my hair. So now i am planning to buy a nice expensive one that will work for atleast 5 years. I;ve read tons of reviews and been to numerous sites, but i think i'm more confused than before. The CHI is over rated, %26amp; im really confused about the rest. Help?

PHI? Sedu? Solia? CHI? GHD? JDL? which one will work best for my thick curly long black hair?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

PHI? Sedu? Solia? CHI? GHD? JDL? which one will work best for my thick curly long black hair?

CHI!

it tames my hair and transforms all of my poofy wavy friziness into sleek straightness.

it seriously works wonders :)

PHI? Sedu? Solia? CHI? GHD? JDL? which one will work best for my thick curly long black hair?

I think I have the same kind of hair you do. Thick, wavy, sometimes frizzy...

Anyway, I've been using the Solia for over 2 years now, and it works great. I have the 1-3/4 inch, which is good for thick hair. The plates are made out of ceramic, so it doesn't damage your hair as much as a regular iron. However, it's a bit pricey ($98). Of course, I've never used the Chi (which I've also heard was good), so I can't compare and contrast. In short, I've had a lot of sucess with the Solia =)

PHI? Sedu? Solia? CHI? GHD? JDL? which one will work best for my thick curly long black hair?

it aint the damm chi it's the

PHI? Sedu? Solia? CHI? GHD? JDL? which one will work best for my thick curly long black hair?

I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

Now they have 2008 model (Sedu Revolution) , i can't wait to try it!

Question about CHI straighteners?

Does anyone has this issue with their CHI straighteners...I've had mine for 4 years and I feel like its losing its hotness. When I straighten my hair with it now it doesn't get that hot anymore. Is there anything I can do about it?

Question about CHI straighteners?

hmm ive only had mine for less than 2 years and it still works well... maybe yours is just worn out and you need to get a new one.

Question about CHI straighteners?

Mine did that and sometimes if you leave it on hot for like 2 hours then just unplug it and let it cool sometimes it will get hotter

Question about CHI straighteners?

I would check with the warranty and how long its good for. But i'd think its probably faulty and you'll be entitled to a new one.

Good luck!

Question about CHI straighteners?

well ive only have like it for like 2 years so ya but im pretty sure they come with a whole life warranty-at least mine is

Question about CHI straighteners?

You might want to check their website, I know they have a warranty-but it may only be for the first year. I think 4 yrs. is a pretty damn good run though, y not get a new one?

Is a chi, solia or a sedu the best flat iron straightener? And are hair dryers from Bed Head good pro

I know that a Chi is all of the rave but I have also heard that they stop working. I know that a sedu is the number one best seller on folica. I also have heard how good the solia works. I have been wanting a new straightener because I have a super sucky JDL right now. I hope that someone can help me. I dont care how much they are as long as they arent like over 150 dollars.

I am thirteen years old and have super thick hair. Not curly or anything like that just a little on the bumpy or wavy side. All of the reviews on folica helped me know that some people have different opinions. I want a good straightener that will make my hair super straight and awesomely flat. Thank you everyone!

Is a chi, solia or a sedu the best flat iron straightener? And are hair dryers from Bed Head good products?

I have the 1 1/4" SOLIA flat iron and I love it. I also have thick hair and it is really long and wavy

I use to have a hard time straighting with other flat irons but with this one its not a problem I would highly recommend any size SOLIA flat iron.

I also researched on folica thats where I got mine and the reviews are so true this is a great flat iron

This flat iron will do the job and make your hair super straight and if you ever want to curl it does that too.

I use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum when I flat iron my

hair.

I have a cousin who owns like two Chi's but she will still ask to borrow my SOLIA she has thick hair too and to her my SOLIA gets hotter than her Chi and she says it makes her hair straighter faster.

When I took my SOLIA to work to show the girls how to curl their hair with their flat irons most of them dumped their Chi's for a SOLIA

=-)

Is a chi, solia or a sedu the best flat iron straightener? And are hair dryers from Bed Head good products?

i have a 1" pink solia .. i don't really like it.. i feel like it doesn't smooth my hair enough %26amp; sometimes it seems like the plates don't get close enough to my hair.. and it's not old or anything, i've had it since july or august.

my old straightener was a jilbere (my mom got it for me) and i actually liked it better (but it just stopped working after about a year and a half). with my solia, when i straighten my hair %26amp; then sleep on it, the ends of my hair get kind of puffy and my hair looks really awkward, it also gets un-straightened more easily.

so i wouldn't recommend getting a solia. mine is ok enough to keep for now, but i'm thinking about getting a sedu when i go to college next year..

but another weird thing is that my hair stylist had not heard of solia at all (i go to an aveda salon), and when i asked her about good straighteners, she told me chi or sebastian.

oh, and i don't have any experience with bed head hair dryers, sorry.. (although i do use their products.. they are ok)

Is a chi, solia or a sedu the best flat iron straightener? And are hair dryers from Bed Head good products?

My daughter...who is a beauty college graduate and now an instructor...recommends the EndoMalano brand. She was the instructor at the fair and was able to demonstrate how well these worked, how they didn't damage your hair, and how long they continue to straighten (or curl the hair as they have curling irons too). They are guaranteed and really great products. You can email her at lovebears@sbcglobal.net for additional information if you need it. Since I am her mother and she had the products even before she graduated, I can only tell you that she highly recommends these products. They run about $150 for the iron and less for the curling iron.

Is a chi, solia or a sedu the best flat iron straightener? And are hair dryers from Bed Head good products?

idk about bedhead but the seud is the best and the solica is ok but not as good as the sedu adn the chi...well it's just crap

Is a chi, solia or a sedu the best flat iron straightener? And are hair dryers from Bed Head good products?

Chi all the way.

As for bedhead, I'm not really sure.

I need help with flat irons, I have very thin hair...?

I have very thin hair it's kinda wavy on some spots but on the rest it's straight. But I want to make my "kinda wavy parts" straighter. I use a blowdryer but it doesn't work, the next day my hair is ruined. So I decided I was going to use a straightener, but I don't know which one to use. I want one that is affordable, NOT CHEAP, just not too expensive either. Do you have any suggestions? I hear the Chi is the best one but I think that my money would be wasted since my hair is already kinda straight. I also want one that won't break my hair or fry it as much. Please help it would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

I need help with flat irons, I have very thin hair...?

Put your flat iron on the lowest setting. A Chi iron is the best. Also use Hair Wax, Leave-In Conditioner, or Heat Tamer to protect your hair.

I need help with flat irons, I have very thin hair...?

Personally the one that works the best for me is the Conair Ceramic Pro Straightener. It has lots of different settings, and since your hair is really thin you can put it on one of the lower settings. I like it because it also shines your hair and gives it a glossy look. Hope I helped! :)

I need help with flat irons, I have very thin hair...?

what price range? i'd suggest a ceramic one, those work best... just ask your stylist/chick in your nearest salon for one. i'd also suggest CHI. (thats the brand)

I need help with flat irons, I have very thin hair...?

One that won't break easily and will last for a while will be on the more expensive side. I'd recomend getting an FHI from Folica.com. A Sedu is also a good straightener to get, but cost more than an FHI. You can set the FHI to different temperatures, so it won't fry your hair. CHI's break easily. If you do get a CHI (they are more expensive) you may want to get an older one, seeing as those don't break as easily.

Good Luck!

Help!! chi?? or sedu??

Has anyone used Chi to regrow bald hair?

If so, how were your results? Has anyone used Rogaine or Propecia? From what I've read their results are never very dramatic and I need dramatic or it's not worth my money. I've got very little hair left on top. A cure is what I need, not a treatment.

Has anyone used Chi to regrow bald hair?

Nioxin makes an entire line of products to include shampoos, conditioners, scalp treatments and supplements. Visit their website and you can initiate a live chat with a representative, directly from the company. This would be an expert that could really get technical with you and really let you know the results you can expect from using an entire regimen of shampoos, conditioners, treatments and supplements.

Nioxin is a professional line used only by professional salons. It's a step up from drug store brands.

I have also heard of a new laser light treatment that stimulates growth. You may want to discuss the latest laser technology with a dermatologist in your area.

With anything you choose, you have to stick with it religiously, day and night for several months before you will see a noticeable change. Unfortunately, it's not overnight, as it takes at least a full month to see at least 1/4 inch of new growth.

Has anyone used Chi to regrow bald hair?

Nope

Has anyone used Chi to regrow bald hair?

Isn't Chi a straightener...?

I mean yes I know it is because I have one.

But yeah I don't know what you are talking about....

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

this is the exact same one i have http://astore.amazon.com/ayasspesho-20/d... My hair is fine and slightly wavy and i straighten it wis this everyday and it still wont stay pin straight like the other girls i see.

what can i do? :)

thanks

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

It's probably bad quality. Get a REVLON one. Or instead of doing it quickly against you hair. Do it slowly and make sure you get all the waves out.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

what kind of product do you put in your hair before straightening it? I use Paul Mitchell mousse and the chi - it keeps my hair straight for days.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

use a good, salon quality heat protector. you can find them at sally's beauty supply.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

Yup... thats the one. Take small ot finer sections of hair. Fisrt devide the whole head into four parts. Use a thermal spray. It will protect and keep your style in longer.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

when u run it thru ur hair, go more slowly (be sure ur hair is tottally dry) and after u run it thru, slowly, don't brush it out right away, wait like 45 seconds and then brush it. this will give ur hair more time to cool and hold the style better. it doesn't have to do w/ the type of heat protection u use, as long as u don't fry ur hair, don't waste ur money on fancy products.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

Well, I don't use anything and it stays straight...so i guess you should use a lot of hairspray ]: That's what my mom does.

btw, cute straightener [;

*edit

When straightening your hair, pull it down slowly. My mom used to do it really fast and it doesn't stay straight..and sometimes it made her hair worse. lol so pull it down slowly.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

First off, make sure your hair is dry. I always recommend a thermal protectant for hair when using extreme heat, such as a curl wax. You may want to use only a small small amount, size of a pea for quarter sections of your hair. This is going to keep the straightness as well as protect your hair from damage-but you dont want to use too much if your hair is fine as it will make it look greasy.

Second, try straightening in smaller sections and start at the nape of your neck. Straightening your hair takes a great deal of time to achieve the desired look. I have top of line iron not in stores yet, and it is unbelievable but i still have to work with patience and the right products.

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

Because it's for straightening your chi, not your hair.

Doh!

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

well it really depends on the type of hair you have...

usually people with pin straight hair have naturally straight hair and they just straighten it to make it even more straight

and honestly it doesnt even look that good pin straight

Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to

Just wondering....does anyone know?

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to have it!?

Well the Chi itself is an absolutely amazing straightening iron. I have super curly hair, and this iron gets my hair stick straight without causing crazy damage. Hot pink is always in with girls, so that's why they're going crazy over them!

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to have it!?

get a sedu instead. or a t3.

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to have it!?

Because its pink and very girly girl. Its no different than the regular Chi. They just like the color - same with the blue one.

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to have it!?

It claims to keep hair to remain silky and shiny after numerous use. It can't be that much healthy for your hair. Heat will eventually dry out your hair, but I guess with this tool it makes 'Ceramic heat that insure deep penetration of silk proteins.'

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to have it!?

Sedu's better,

I've heard many people claiming they're hair broke off

because you can't adjust temperature on some of their straighteners.

:]

Let me ask you....why are these Chi hot pink hair straighteners ....so in right now? Everyone has to have it!?

Because their marketing strategy was " It does not damage hair" and people believed them! Truth is they are lying. My roommate own a chi and her hair is pretty damaged by using chi.

Just because its expensive doesn't mean it will be exactly what they say it is. We need to use our brain sometimes. Heat damages hair always. Enough said.

Does CHI SILK INFUSION PRO HAIR SERUM work?

I have VERY dry hair and i was wondering if any of you have tried it. If so, did it work well for you?

Does CHI SILK INFUSION PRO HAIR SERUM work?

I have the product, and I have tried it before, but honestly, the differenct that I noticed wasn't that great. I've read so many reviews about it that claim it's a miracle worker when it's really not that great. The bottle I bought was tinyyy, and it cost 14 dollars. Save your money, and just go for serums sold in drugstores. They work just as well, if not better.

Best Chi Straightener? Thanksss?

I've decided I want a Chi soon.

But there are so many different types - can you tell me which one I should get and why?

By the way I don't have curly hair, Just the ends are flipped/curled and I want one to use for touch ups, my current one is horrible.

Best Chi Straightener? Thanksss?

I love the original CHI. I have used it for years and I just got a new one. Its really pretty. Silver with purple tips! Its supposed to get 4-5 degrees hotter than the regular original. But anyway my hair is wavy and it does wonders for it, while keeping it really straight. Its a limited edition though so hurry!

Check out this link: http://www.originalchi.com/

It shows all the CHI's offered. The one I have is on the right hand side at the top!

Best Chi Straightener? Thanksss?

I suggest the bright red chi. It works wonderful %26amp;%26amp; i have really curly hair so I'm sure it would work great for you since your hair is easier to straighten!!! I've had mine since Christmas %26amp;%26amp; i love it!

CHI TURBO ceramic ionic hair dryer?!!?!?!?!!?!?!!??!!?!?!?!... PLEASE HELP ME!?

http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Ion_d1...

on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best what would you rate this blowdryer for everyday use?

CHI TURBO ceramic ionic hair dryer?!!?!?!?!!?!?!!??!!?!?!?!... PLEASE HELP ME!?

I Haven't Used This Dryer So, I Wouldn't Be Able To Give It A "Rating" But I Use A Similar Type And It Works Great - The Info For The Dryer IS a LITTLE Misleading, Ceramic Dryers Produce "Long Wave" Infra-Red Which Dries The Hair Faster Without "Overdrying" And The Ions Produced Reduce The Attraction Of Water Molecules So They Evaporate Much Quicker And The Ions Help To "Seal" The Cuticle (Surface Layer) Of The Hair Increasing Smoothness And Shine. They Also Eliminate Static Which Causes "Flyaways" And Tangling.

Where can I get a CHI or T3 hair straightener for the best price???

In Canada, the guaranteed price in Trade Secrets (complete with warranty) is 169.95. Less in the states.

Where can I get a CHI or T3 hair straightener for the best price???

I have an F8D which is also really expensive especially where they sell chi's, I think it was around 200 but its alot cheaper on ebay and if you look if the person is 100% good with their reputation. I buy alot of stuff on ebay, you just have to make sure that the person you are buying from is reliable to do what they say they are going to do. but I cant seem to find that certain one on ebay right now, but the one i have on the source is also very very good, I would look for that one on ebay :D

Where can I get a CHI or T3 hair straightener for the best price???

u can buy the CHI flat iron at either Trade Secrets( they r owned by the Regis corp.) and r in most malls across the U.S. or u can get one from a place called Ulta salon and Cosmetics, they have an online store too. I am a hairstylist and couldn't believe that they sell for around the same price as i can buy them at our supply houses! i also saw the CHI irons on E Bay, but i don't trust Ebay after i got scamed from there.

Wot is dis so called CHI treatment for hair??n where do i get it done from/can it b done at home?plz

Farouk systems makes the CHI products and a lot of them are based on infusing silk proteins with your hair to make it strong, silky and shiny. The famous CHI flat iron aides in getting the smooth polished look and it is the BEST flat iron out hands down and any hairdresser will agree. There is nothing totally fantastic about the CHI products (shampoos, conditioners, etc.) but if you were talking about the results you can get from the CHI flat iron, I say go to any decent hair dresser and that will be the model they are using anyway. If you want your own it can run you from $120 -$200 depending where you get it from.

Wot is dis so called CHI treatment for hair??n where do i get it done from/can it b done at home?plz help?

Chi is a straightening iron. It's around $150. I believe that they also make products now. They're pretty good, but nothing *great*. Kerastase is great, but hard to find.

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

I want to buy my daughter one for her birthday. She has really thick curly and dry hair and she used to use the True-Ceramic-Pro flat iron everyday which worked well, but it recently broke.

I've heard little about CHI and was hoping you could share some of your opinions on the product and whether or not it would be good for those with curly %26amp; dry hair.

Thank you!

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

it supppppperrrr cool :D

i love it

i have thick hair too

my mom bought it for me

since then i'm in love with it :D

u should deffinitely buy one for ur daughter she'll love it!!!! :D

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

It totally rocks! (I have wildly out of control hair)

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

i guess they okay

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

They are really expensive $127 @ Target, but they are supposed to be the best!

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

That's funny you ask because I was just looking at them... unfortunately I can't give you any first hand advice, but I dont suggest spending so much money on a hair straightener. They are around $140 and I have the next step down (i think) which is like $45... BIG difference. Think about this: How much difference will it really make? Not that much...

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

My friend has one and she loves it. I have some iron from Japan that I love. Just be prepared to fork out $120-$180 for one but it should last forever.

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

no idea but GHD are amazing

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

I can't really tell you, because I just bought it from ebay, I haven't recieved it yet :D

My friend has a CHI and I tried it once and it ROCKS!

If you're buying it as a present, buy the red one with hearts on it, looks cool. http://cgi.ebay.com/CHI-Special-LIMITED-...

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

TIHGht!

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

i have thick dry curly hair and I love my chi. It is the best hair product I have. The only concern is that it can get very hot, so you have to be careful. They do come with a temperature control so that you can monitor how hot it gets. I make sure to use a leave in conditioner. Before my chi I had to blow dry my hair and then flat iron it, but now i can air dry then use the iron to flatten it. So the combo of ceramic plates and not having to blow dry has really helped to improve the condition of my hair when I iron it alot.

What do you think of CHI flat irons?

Curly and thick hair mostly. It works THE BEST ever! It works perfect on me :D

For girls with straight hair only..?

Well i have naturally straight hair and i was wondering if you guys use a flat iron to make it straighter? even if its naturally straight its not really straight and iwas wondering if i should buy a chi..yeah i know there expensive..but the ones i have like revlon don't keep my hair really straight for long it goes back in like an hour. thanks

For girls with straight hair only..?

I have naturally straight hair and bought the chi. Its worth the money. It leaves my hair looking more silky and shiny.Plus you can use it to curl and flip out the ends of your hair.

For girls with straight hair only..?

i have mostly straight natural hair and i have a chi and love it u should get 1

For girls with straight hair only..?

Some women do just to get the super sleek straight hair. Usually the most expensive is always the best product. If that is what you are really looking for, go for it.

For girls with straight hair only..?

well my hair is wavy/straight and my hair dresser gotr us this really nice on that's by hot tools if you can buy it totaly get it!

with that one it stay's all day.!.

For girls with straight hair only..?

Quality and looking good cost money. Of course quality is also an investment. I would find a great hair stylist first, who knows about hair and what style looks good with what shape of face. Than I would take their recommendation. Than I would invest in a great hair products. Natural is always sexy...Good Luck

For girls with straight hair only..?

The heat from irons turns my hair orangey, so I don't use them.

For girls with straight hair only..?

i do straighten mine even though its naturally pretty straight. and i think the extra money will be worth it if straighten your hair often. if your planning oon only using it once a week don't get it. but any more than that will make a chi a very wise investment.

For girls with straight hair only..?

I have a chi...

and naturally straight hair..

The chi doesn't really make my hair straighter ... but I do like thre way that it makes my hair thinner and softer...

For girls with straight hair only..?

No. I don't use a flat iron. I don't use anything. My hair is naturally straight and thick. If I wash it with just the right shampoo and put it up in a hairagami, the effect is beautiful wavy long hair! No electric device is necessary to have beautiful hair. Natural is the best and lets you feel like you. I think that making hair straighter makes one look unhealthy.

For girls with straight hair only..?

i have straight hair %26amp;%26amp; i straighten it but go to a close store were they sell hair stuff and look for something that says to keep it straighter and u also neeed a new iron

Is elite chi a good hair straightener??

Its realy good, all ceramics, Chi especialy, are.

Is elite chi a good hair straightener??

I have a regular chi and it works very well.

Is elite chi a good hair straightener??

good hair straightener yes.

good for your hair. no.

Is elite chi a good hair straightener??

yes. both my sis and I use Chi ceramic hair straightener and it doesnt do harm on the hair since it is ceramic although a bit pricey it it well worth your money

Is elite chi a good hair straightener??

ANY CERAMIC HAIR STR8NER IS GOOD.CHI IS A PROFESSIONAL BRAND AND COST MORE MONEY THAN AN OFF BRAND ONE. AS LONG AS IT IS CERAMIC AND HAS A DIAL TO ADJUST IT WOULD BE JUST AS GOOD.

Is the CHI a good hair straightener? Also if you have it how much did you pay for it?

I hear it can be very expensive.

Is the CHI a good hair straightener? Also if you have it how much did you pay for it?

It is really good, because my hair dresser uses it on me. I want one myself but it's $140 so I'll have to invest in one!

But it makes the hair look really good! ^_^

Is the CHI a good hair straightener? Also if you have it how much did you pay for it?

it is one the best.....

about $130-140

Is the CHI a good hair straightener? Also if you have it how much did you pay for it?

My stylist uses CHI but I can't afford their ceramic products. (Ceramics are always more expensive than the metal straighteners) I know CHI products are sometimes on sale at certain beauty supply stores--try Ulta or Ulta.com. I know they have been on sale there before (the metal ones were on special for $30 a couple of weeks ago), and they often have coupons for $3 or $5 off in the newspaper and online. Also, if you're willing to wait, the Ulta stores always have a seriously wonderful after-Christmas sale, in which things are 50-75% off. :)

Is the CHI a good hair straightener? Also if you have it how much did you pay for it?

CHI products are all great. My beautician recommended them. The flat iron is $90 with free shipping.

Ebay is cheaper

Is the chi or solia hair straightener better?

i think im getting the solia just to check it out. but which one is better?

Is the chi or solia hair straightener better?

CHI is supposed to be one of the top ones on the market! I have been using a CHI for years and I won't use anything else because nothing has worked better. I have super tight curls and it straightens then perfectly and leaves my hair feeling soft also. I would suggest the CHI and nothing other than the CHI! Love it and can't live without it!

Is the chi or solia hair straightener better?

I used the chi before and i liked it!

Is the chi or solia hair straightener better?

I bought an FHI hair straightener and I love it! I have really thick, wavy long hair and it is perfect for my hair type. I bought it at Beauty Brands for $110 and saved 15% when I became a VIP member with them.

Is the chi or solia hair straightener better?

i like chi =]

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

Can you recommend a good straightener preferably with a model number so I can look for it? Thanks!

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

despite the fact that people say "dont do it; it's bad for your hair", straighteneing the hair is such a common thing these days so you might as well just do it.. hair grows..

I have the CHI and im pretty faithful to do (it broke, i got another one) and its supposed to be the best on the market.. i have somewhat thick hair and a lot of it, and it works on my hair but it doesnt perform miracles for me

a couple of my friends have the rusK STR8 iron http://i7.ebayimg.com/04/i/07/ag/b3/64_1... and it gets really hot and i find it really good, but my hair dresser alwys suggests the one inch plates.. she says the narrower, the better

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

all straighteners are bad for your hair.

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

as long as its not coniar it should work

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

CHI is good on my fine thin hair. I dont know about coasre tho. The red and yellow colored CHIs are good. They work wonders! lol

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

You should never striaghten your hair, it will damage your hair! You need to learn how to love the texture of your hair just the way it is.Buy a good shampoo and conditioner that works well with your hair and you will be just fine :)

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

I own a chi and I love it. I have very thick and naturally curly hair. but its not just the straightener, you also need good products. I use bio silk by farouk, and a few of the chi products. it really depends on what your hair needs and what style u want. talk to your hair dresser, he or she should be able to help you.

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

I heard as long as it's ceramic all the way through %26amp; not ceramic plated it will work well. Because it distributes the heat more evenly. That's what my hairstylist told me.

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

Ok i use the t3 tourmaline which straightens your hair with less damage that when works alot hunny you should try it with biosilk oil it works wonders!!http://www.misikko.com/t3-tourmaline.htm... %26lt;Go there beautiful hope i helped!

Is CHI the best hair straightener in the market?

IF YOU USE THE CHI PRODUCTS WITH YOUR CHI IRON, YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE DAMAGE EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT.

I PREFER CHI THERE PRODUCTS SMELL GOOD AND WORK GREAT. IF YOU USE THE THERMAL GUARD BY CHI IT KEEPS THE HEAT FROM DAMAGING YOUR HAIR, USE THE CHI SILK WHEN YOUR STYLE IS ALMOST COMPLETE , THEN FINISH OFF WITH SOME INFRA TEXTURE HAIRSPRAY ALSO BY CHI.

IF YOUR HAIR IS ALREADY DAMAGED FROM A STRAIGHT IRON, USE CHI KERITIN MIST ON IT WHILE YOUR HAIR IS STILL DAMP. THEN BLOWDRY. GOOD PRODUCTS ARE THE KEY TO HAVING HEALTHY HAIR.

I'm going to the salon to get my hair straighten with chi.?

will it make my hair straight and thin permanently

my hair now... is thick and curly

I'm going to the salon to get my hair straighten with chi.?

I am not sure what chi is, but I used to get my hair straightened every 3 or 4 months. I am not sure what my hair stylist used though...sorry. I know whatever it was, she bought at Sally's Beauty Supply. I found that my hair was so much easier to work with and style.

I'm going to the salon to get my hair straighten with chi.?

it will be permanent until u take a shower so what i do is put on a shower cap to protect my hair then take a shower

I'm going to the salon to get my hair straighten with chi.?

A Chi is a brand of flat iron, Im not sure if they have a chi straighting formula to achieve a permanent result. I have a chi flat iron, and I also am a cosmotologist, and I straighten hair with it, but as soon as you wash it, it goes curly again.

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

so sadly my beautiful chi straightener broke in half the other day, (the cord got wrapped around my foot and fell) so i have no way to straighten my hair unless i use my yucky old conair one. So how can I straighten my hair without a straightener? My hair isant super curly its mostly loose waves but they get poofy. Also what should i do with my chi, i sent the place an e mail but they still havent emailed me back, and it was a gift so I dont have a receipt but i only got it in August. so yeah how to straighten my hair and what should i do with my poor chi.

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

I think you are stuck on the chi since it got broken and didn't fail - you will have to get a new one. Actually I had chis and the stupid power cords kept failing on them after about 6 months. I finally gave up and got a Sedu and actually liked it much better.

As for your hair, instead of straightening, go wavy/curly. I learned to do this by reading a book recommended by my stylist called Curly Girl. Wash your hair without using shampoo - use a good quality conditioner instead (sounds weird, but it works and I promise it won't be greasy). Then press the excess water out gently after rinsing and use a good quality gel. Let it air dry and if you don't have time blow dry on low with a diffuser. It will be wavy but not poofy.

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

maybe buy a new one or use a blow drier (brush straight while straightening) or maybe leave your hair wavy for a change.

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

I don't know what to do w/ the chi but to straighten your hair, when you come out of the shower, towel dry your hair and then slowly dry hair in 2in. strips on a aluminum brush it works great!

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

try wearing your hair down for a change. My hair is poofy too. I use to straighten it all the time but my hair was falling out because it was so damaged and i dont think u want to go bald. U can use the new sun silk anti poof shampoo and condition. Also put LA looks curling gel its cheap and it stays PERFECT all day unlike other expensive mousess. i found out that cheaper proucts are better and efficiant. You can always buy a new chi. christmas is coming soon!

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

use a low drier and ask the person u bought it from for the receipt

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

use a clothes iron for now.

my friend does it and she says it works better then a regular hair straigtener.

send the chi back and maybe they can replace it.

Who to straighten hair without a flat iron, and what to do with broken chi.?

well if you have a curler you could always use that. you have to use the opposite side you use to curl your hair it works great for a temporary solution. And about your chi i have no idea. hope everything works out!

Chi?!!!!!!?

how much did you pay for your chi straightener?

im thinking of buying one and i looked it up at target and i was like eh?!

im not paying 125$ for a straightener!!!

1.where can i buy it for under a hundered dollars?

2.how long do they last

3. are they really that great as everyone says they are?

4.and whats the best hair protection from heat you ever used?

Chi?!!!!!!?

1. ULTA is selling a 1 inch Chi for 69.99 in stores right now (I just bought a replacement in Orlando)

2. Years...5+more! I was careless with mine (after 4 years) and started wrapping the cord around it for vacations- BIG mistake! I 'made do" withe a cheaper replacement and damaged my colored hair almost to the point of to return.

3.%26amp; 4. Wonderful! I moved to FL about 2 months ago, which is the humidity capital of the U.S. Since using the Chi (+ pureology ShineMax as a triple-duty shine/color protector/heat protector), literally my quality of life has improved! As a law student with 8 a.m. classes who loves sleep, I used to be late on a daily basis prior to two products:

Chi Ceramic %26amp; Bare Minerals ... Now I actually look liek the women without a life (besides shopping or yoga) with a full schedule!

Chi?!!!!!!?

You can look on ebay for them but most places they're going to be that much. I don't know exactly how much I paid but it was around that amount. They're great and I will NEVER go back to a regular straightener again. My hair actually stays straight and looks healthier. I get compliments a lot more when I started using my chi.

Chi?!!!!!!?

sorry, you cant get them under 100$

sorry. at a salon i think they are 100$ though.

but SEDUs are much better :] lol i got one of those.

Chi?!!!!!!?

I dont have one but they cost over $100 in salons.. (seen them). try ebay.. my flat-iron costs more than the chi for retail price but i got it on ebay for like $50-60. try ebay

Chi?!!!!!!?

i paid 120$ for mine at one of the local beauty supply stores in my town[ your probably not gonna find it cheaper than with in that price range]... and honestly its the best iron ive ever had. i had mine for 2 years and than the only reason it broke was because i droppod it and it cracked, but other than that it would have lasted so much longer. since it is a ceramic iron it doesnt damage your hair like non ceramic irons. the chi is as worth it as everyone claims.

Chi?!!!!!!?

I got mine at Target also! I paid $139 I bought the pink one!... but it is the best $139 I ever spent! IT is worth every penny I promise! I am a hair stylist and it works with lots of hair types! It is wonderful! You might want to try ebay but then you have that chance at getting a knock off.. so just buy one and experience the greatest straightener for yourself! Enjoy!

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

I've been researching flat irons, and am considering getting a Chi, but on a rating at http://www.folica.com the chi was rated 7th out of 10. I also used a friend's 1/2 inch Chi, which may have been too small for my hair, but either way, it looked very fried and bad. Is a Chi not the way to go? I guess I would just like to hear some other opinions before I order some $100+ straightener that may not even work. . thanks p.s. anyone tried the solia? is it any good

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

I like Paul Brown and T3 by Tourmaline they both work great. The one inch is the best for most hair length and is easy to handle. You need to take small thin sections and use a flat iron heat protector spray prior to ironing, I like "Ion" flat iron spray, you can get it at Sally's beauty supply, it also helps get the frizzies out but don't use too much or it will make your hair look and feel greasy.

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

not sure and i think you should get a straight hair think i cant tell you what it is i forgot! i like your picture! sorry!

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

yes it works. i have it..i have the large red velvet one. chi's are right now and have been the best straightener out there thats what my hair stylist told me...

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

I love my chi and my friends swear by it also. If you have curly hair, I would definitely go with a bigger one. I have tried many straightening irons, and the chi is the best by far. It is worth the investment!!

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

i don't know, but the easiest way for me is to relax it or go to the salon and tell the to wash and put rollers in your hair. It really works.

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

my room mate and I both have really curly hair. She owns a chi and it really is wonderful and works wonders. We both swear by it.

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

Well, in order for your hair to look better when it's straight, you may want to start off by using a conditioner for about 2 weeks that is specific for curly hair. Of Course Salon stuff works best, although it can really make a hole in your pocket. Then after you notice a texture diference, then you can start experimenting with starightend styles. The key to good looking styled hair, is good natural hair.

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

yes CHI's r the best. i hav 1 and i lov it. and use the chi iron guard then your hair won't look soo burnt.lol. and your hair won't go curly unless u get it wet.

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

I have straight hair and for the first 18 years of my life I tried to get it to curl or be wavy or something. I tried everything. Then my Dad sat me down with a mirror one day and said,

Have you ever noticed how perfect your hair color, style, eye color and skin tone go together? I felt sort of embarrassed to look at the mirror, but then he went on and said; God gave you this unique combination of looks, and who are we to think he didn't know what he was doing? He knew how to pull the best aspects out of both your mother and I, and put them together in this beautiful package.

Most people want to look the opposite of how they look naturally, maybe we think the other gal is getting a better deal. But if you embrace the beauty of the lovely curly locks you have been given, maybe you too can see that God really knew what he was doing when he created you.

On the dry issue, in the 70's we would put mayonaise. egg yolks or olive oil on our hair, wrap our heads in saran wrap, leave it on for awhile, then wash it out. It was the best conditioner ever!

I have curly dry hair, and I want it straight and shiny. . Does the Chi really work?

You are actually flattening your hair not straightening it if you use the Chi. I suggest maxiglide. It has over 100 pins and a steam burst! Plus it has temperature control. Im not trying to sound like an advertisement but I have a maxiglide at home. I have frizzy curly hair and I use the maxiglide to make my hair all straight as a toothpick.

With the maxiglide, you don't need a flat iron, blow dryer, etc. Plus, your hair will feel SMOOTH! There is also a steamburst, to make your hair smoother. You can use the maxius hairproducts to make your hair SHINY!

I got it before school after begging my mother. There are 4 packages you can get. I chose package 2 which cost my mom 119.95. Prices range from 99.95 to 129.95. I am not directly sure if you have to pay monthly payments.

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

Im 13 and getting my hair cut today(no coloring) and dont know what to do. I have a square, oval, face, similiar to the girl in RV(the teenager"jo jo) and im clueless, im going to a really good place, and its expensive so i want it to look good, what should i do. I have spirel loose curled hair that, not frizzy, thick and a little past my shoulders, but i have a CHI straightner so I straighten it once a week.

please help!

thanks

~dee~

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

You could maybe get just a little trim, maybe right by your shoulders. Then ask your stylist if she could maybe give it long layers. Then, when you get home, straighten it. I had a friend with hair like that, it looked GREAT!!!!!!!

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

u should get bangs and get it layered,it will look cute. Report It

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

I would say go with long layers. It looks good no matter what. It'll make your curls bounce more and when you straighten it, you'll have a very classic look that never goes out of style. Plus, you'll be able to do more things with it.

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

ask them to show you a bop!!!or you could get sweep bangs and layered

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

We were just in Florida and saw some really cute "boyish" haircuts. Get to the salon EARLY and look thru some books/magazines. Take your time. You can always go shorter later, but ya can't glue it back on once it's been cut. Well, I guess you could, but extensions are another expense. Good luck! I'm getting my hair done today too!!

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

talk to your stylist then and look at books. just look for people with some similar features like you described yourself already.

relax and don't worry so much

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

long layers looks good with ur discription

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

just get it really hot and anyone will love it

HElP! Im getting my hair done today and dont know what to do!?

layers with long bang to ones side wold look nice!!!!

Do any black women with natural hair use the CHI flat iron?

If so, how does it work with your hair? Is it better than a pressing comb, and what protectant sprays do you use along with it? Thanks.

Do any black women with natural hair use the CHI flat iron?

hell yes it works!!! it's better than a pressing comb or a relaxer.

I use biosilk with it (or oilsheen the spray).

My mom usually uses parnevu (leave in conditioner) for extra dry hair before using her chi

Do any black women with natural hair use the CHI flat iron?

yes i use it and i only use it i havent ever used anything else i use oil sheen with it to get it nice and silky

Do any black women with natural hair use the CHI flat iron?

Well I use a pressing comb and I personally believe that no flat iron is better than a pressing comb

Do any black women with natural hair use the CHI flat iron?

I prefer pressing combs so I can get to the roots and the hariline area.

Do any black women with natural hair use the CHI flat iron?

i never used it but i wnatd too. anyway i got tied of fighting with my hair everyday and i permed my hair.

Which hair straightener should I go for?

A lot of people tell me GHDs are the best, but I simply can't afford to spend to money on a GHD, so my options are a Chi (which one original or turbo?), Sedu or Maxiglide. I can't decide which one would be best. I'm male, and my hair is about chin level at the fringe and sides, my hairs fairly thick, but naturally very straight.

Any advice?

Which hair straightener should I go for?

To be honest i have GHDs and have stuck with them for 6 years now, but for a while my mum had rimmel ones and to be completly honest i used them and they worked pretty much the same as ghds! seriously they were pretty good and im sure my mum only paid like 鎷?0 for them

Which hair straightener should I go for?

OMG

chi

get wich ever chi you want but chi is best idk about ghd or what that is but chi is best ;D

Which hair straightener should I go for?

If your hair is naturally very straight why would you want to use straightening irons?

Am I missing something here?

Which hair straightener should I go for?

Chi does make great products, but I'm a girl on a budget. I've used my Remington Wet2Straight iron sporadically for 2 years now and it does a fabulous job. I wait until my hair air-drys about 80% then section and flat iron it. I don't blow dry because it gets frizzy (yours might not but mine does). It's got ceramic plates and 25 heat settings so you can make it as cool or hot as you need. I believe it was about 35 bucks at Target (can find them at any drug store). They come in 3/4" and 2 3/4" widths so if you don't have a lot of hair, the 3/4" inch might work best for you. Mine's the big'un ^-^

Which hair straightener should I go for?

I have very thick hair also and love the Chi irons to straighten it. I have an original and have used a turbo at a friend's house. Didn't feel or see a different between the two so I'd just save some money and go with the original. Good luck!

Which hair straightener should I go for?

Use straightening balm this will help then get some Chi's or why not look for some second hand GHD'S on ebay.co.uk ?

Which hair straightener should I go for?

GHD are the best out there

Which hair straightener should I go for?

if you cant get a GHD go for Chi they are quite good

Which hair straightener should I go for?

T3 Also quite good you can find some cheap ones on http://hairstraightenersonline.co.uk/Hai... If you're looking for CHI I found one there for 鎷?5.00 + 鎷?0.00 for shipping try to search since they don'y have a category . For CHI - http://hairstraightenersonline.co.uk/sea...

Goodluck

How do I curl my hair with a Chi?

I have a 1" Chi. I just got it, %26amp; it says it curls by just using it like a regular curling iron, but I cant get it to make curls, I can get it to straighten, flip, etc, but not make curls, am I doing something wrong?

How do I curl my hair with a Chi?

you twirl it around the iron and wait. give it plenty of time.

Which brand of Straightening Irons is better? Chi Turbo, Babyliss or Hot Tools Professional Toumalin

Which is the best to use? I read that the Chi Turbo doesn't get hot enough, it reaches like 356 degrees F max, but the other ones reach temps of 430 max, but are they better to use or will they fry my hair? When I would go to get my hair straightened at the salon, the iron she used emitted lots of steam from it and it did a great job, I just wished i knew what brand she used. Do you think the Chi turbo emitts steam from it?

Someone please help me!

Which brand of Straightening Irons is better? Chi Turbo, Babyliss or Hot Tools Professional Toumaline?

Chi is an amazing straighener

Which brand of Straightening Irons is better? Chi Turbo, Babyliss or Hot Tools Professional Toumaline?

I have had Babyliss before and didn't really like it.

I just purchased a GHD styler and it rocks!

How do your curl your hair with a chi?

ii Think Tha Curling Tongs Are Heat Damagins To Tha Hair So Instead ii Use TREsemm茅 Gels! =]

Why Not Try Tha TREsemm茅 Natural Looking Curls! =] With Only Six Easy Steps!

1 Squeeze your desired amount into the palm of your hand and emulsify to activate the ingredients.

2 Comb through damp hair from roots to ends with a wide-tooth comb to fully saturate the hair.

3 Then, scrunch curls into place, shaping and molding curls' tightness and definition.

4 Anytime you use a gel, blow-dry upside down with a diffuser (if not, your hair will dry crispy) until hair's 90 percent dry. Then, let air-dry. The diffuser lets you lift hair for a shorter curl formation (translation: bouncier curls).

5 To mold gorgeous finger waves, twist in gel piece by piece.

6 For added definition, finish with TRESemm茅 Curl Care Locking Hairspray.

Learn How To Take Care Orf It Too! =]

1; To create defined, natural curls that bounce (and we mean bounce!), coat damp hair with this curl-enhancing gel.

2; Its humidity-resistance formula controls frizz for healthy-looking styles (minus crunchiness).

3; Plus, its alcohol-free formula won't dry out or flatten the hair.

4; Its holding polymers lock curls into place for the tight curls you crave, while its proteins hydrate and tame flyaways.

Tha Do's! =]

1 - For a quick, frizz-free style, apply TRESemm茅 Touchable Curls Shaping Milk all over damp hair and then twist sections around your finger to create spirals. Let your hair air dry for the smoothest look.

2 - Gently squeeze any excess product out of your hair with a towel to prevent it from weighing down your curls.

3 - If you want to blow-dry your curls, use the diffuser attachment to reduce frizz. Flip your head upside down and place your curls in the cup of the diffuser. Allow the hair to dry while gently bringing the diffuser towards and away from your head.

%26amp; Tha Don'ts! =]

1 - Never brush your curls. Comb conditioner through your hair while in the shower, then towel dry and style it with your fingers to prevent frizz.

2 - Don't try to straighten your curls every day - embrace them! Over-straightening will cause damage over time, leaving your hair duller and drier.

3 - Try not to shampoo every day - curly hair tends to be coarser, and washing too often can deplete your hair's moisture. If you must shower, use conditioner in place of shampoo on alternating days.

%26amp; Remember, CURLING IRONS ACTUALLY DAMAGE YOUR HAIR! =]

鈾?br>How do your curl your hair with a chi?

Hold it on your hair at the roots, then twist it really hard while pulling it downward (keep twisting the whole way) all the way to the end. Don't do too big of a piece at a time. It kinda takes some practice, but it's not too hard 鈾?br>How do your curl your hair with a chi?

I dont know.. I only use it to straighten my hair and I LOVE IT!

How do your curl your hair with a chi?

place the iron where you want the curl to start and turn the iron half way around, then slowly slide the iron down the hair to the end. After you turn it, just keep it at the position sliding it down the hair. Its really easy.

Yes, CHI sucks!

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

do the results actually look like this?

http://www.spasalon.com/deonne/images/ch...

is it worth buying a CHI? do you like yours if you have one?

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

yes it does turn out like thet i use my CHI every day

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

those do work really really good

except a few of my friends had said thet it had stopped heating up on them before

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

of course it does its a flat iron. i use mine to make it a bit straighter. you can also make curls with it. but the thing is they dont have temperature control.

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

yep,, sure,, but if someone does it for you,, i have one and i love it,, you might need to practice till you get better,,

heres what i do dry your hair using flat brush,, spray some heat protectant, take an inch sections starting from the botton of the head and using a comb,, lift the hair and run the heated iron,, and kinda slowly,, and you will see how heat works to get your hair straight,, by running it thru slowly,, it save time and less drying your hair,, and repeat,, theres reason why it's kinda expensive,, but worth it,,

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

Yes it does but I have the paul mitchell one its kinda the same.I think it works better Ive had mine for about a year and it still works fine and has temp control..plus its cheaper..

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

Yeah. The Chi works wonders....you only have to go over the piece once to get super silky straight hair!

When you striaghten your hair with a CHI flat iron???

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees. With tempature control, unlike CHI, who doesn't have tempature control.

Good luck!

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

ok i just posted the hair straigtening help PLEASE! thing...but maybe a picture of my hair will help you guys understand how bad it really is and why it takes me 2 hours to straighten with my chi straightener...ok

this is how it looks after shampoo, conditioner, and airdried w/ NO products or anything in it at all

so should i use EasyStraight? what should i do??

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

There's no actual proof that that is the same person in both pictures. Just stick with your straighter now.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

wow, u r beautiful. personally, i think your hair is cute curly too. try biosilk from a beauty story it makes your hair really soft when curly or straight.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

Your hair is actually gorgeous either way, but if you want it straight....definitely give EasyStraight a try. Just always make sure you test before you put anything all over your hair. Good luck :)

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

straight is better

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

I thought your hair looked nice both ways. Try learning how to style it while it is still curly. =) Just because many women like to straighten their hair does not mean that you have to blend in with the crowd. Be different, because that is what sets you apart and gets you noticed from everyone else.

If you insist on looking like everyone else and you want your hair straightened in order to make yourself happy..then by all means use the EasyStraight thing. Do whatever makes you happy.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

You do not even look like the same person in these photos, but you have the best of 2 worlds you could go curly and look hot if you style it curly and your straight hair looks great also,I would say leave it alone I know that 2 hours of straightening must be a pain but try the curly look once in a wile you could really do a lot with your hair, you are quite lucky.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

i think ur hair looks great straightened (sp?) newayz, if u wanna straighten ur hair, then ask ur hair stylist what the best straightener is 4 u, they know ur hair best.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

i may have no answer but either way you would look stunning!

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

i think it looks cute with curls but if you really want it straight so you should use easystraight

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

cute both ways.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

I don't know what Easy Straight is. If it is a hair straightener, you need to know that if you live in an area that there is high humidity, even a straighener won't stop fuzziness. I have really curly hair like yours and I am able to get it strait within an hour or less and it lasts for a few days. Here is what I do.

I wash and condition my hair with Nourish by Trader Joes but that is available only in the USA and on the East and West coasts but you may be able to get it online. If you can't get it, I did get good results from using Pureology and that you can get it in beauty supply stores or online. Nourish, though has been a real a break through for my hair. I shampoo just once, condition for 4-5 minutes and do not completely rinse out. I leave just a little of the conditioner in. It does not leave the hair gummy or sticky at all. I only use a tiny bit of spray gel on the crown. Then I dry my hair by sections (3 on the back, the sides and top) with a dryer that has a brush on it. I hold onto the hair and do not let it fly around at all. I touch it up with a large curling iron or put a few curlers in and spray lightly with hair spray. While I am putting on make up, I leave in the curlers (not hot rollers-just large curlers). With this shampoo and conditioner, my hair stays ultra clean without drying it out and it stays clean for 2-3 days. I pin it up at night and just comb out in the morning after my shower. I do wear a shower cap so I don't get fuzzy from the steam. It stays soft and silky and smooth and shiny. I go to the beach or out in the rain and my hair doesn't fuzz. Unbelieveable for me. If you have a good iron/straightener, you would find that you would only have to touch up and smooth and go. Just make sure your hair is all the way dry. I don't use anti frizz stuff at all anymore. I save money and time using Nourish. It is all natural and doesn't soap up the way most shampoos do because there isn't any laurel sulfate in it. It does make your hair seem stiff when you rinse out the shampoo and you have to get used to the difference. But as soon as you put on the conditioner, it feels like silk. Even if I let my hair dry curly, I get really lovely curls instead of some curls and lots of frizz. Whatever you use for washing your hair, just make sure you condition it longer than the 2 minutes most suggest, leave some in, dry in sections and get all the way dry. Then curl or iron.

The picture of you that shows your face is really good. I can see why you like the straighened look. You have beautiful hair.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

WHOA. You're beautiful!! I think EasyStraight would be good, but try not to damage your hair.

Straight hair help! I also have pictures!?

Your hair looks really pretty curly and I would kill to have my hair like that.Your damaging it trying to make it straight all the time
