Why wont my chi straightener keep my hair straight?

It's probably bad quality. Get a REVLON one. Or instead of doing it quickly against you hair. Do it slowly and make sure you get all the waves out.

Yup... thats the one. Take small ot finer sections of hair. Fisrt devide the whole head into four parts. Use a thermal spray. It will protect and keep your style in longer.

when u run it thru ur hair, go more slowly (be sure ur hair is tottally dry) and after u run it thru, slowly, don't brush it out right away, wait like 45 seconds and then brush it. this will give ur hair more time to cool and hold the style better. it doesn't have to do w/ the type of heat protection u use, as long as u don't fry ur hair, don't waste ur money on fancy products.

When straightening your hair, pull it down slowly. My mom used to do it really fast and it doesn't stay straight..and sometimes it made her hair worse. lol so pull it down slowly.

First off, make sure your hair is dry. I always recommend a thermal protectant for hair when using extreme heat, such as a curl wax. You may want to use only a small small amount, size of a pea for quarter sections of your hair. This is going to keep the straightness as well as protect your hair from damage-but you dont want to use too much if your hair is fine as it will make it look greasy.

Second, try straightening in smaller sections and start at the nape of your neck. Straightening your hair takes a great deal of time to achieve the desired look. I have top of line iron not in stores yet, and it is unbelievable but i still have to work with patience and the right products.

usually people with pin straight hair have naturally straight hair and they just straighten it to make it even more straight
