What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

I flat-iron my hair everyday and would like to get a professional product to treat my hair. (LIke a 10-20 minute leave in treatment). Any suggestions?

(I use Chi products to wash, condition and a spray on product just before I flat iron.)

Thanks!

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

Go to your salon they have wonderful products to keep your hair from getting damaged and stuff to help repair it.

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

I use Garnier's 3 minutes masque It's for frizzy and dry hair

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

Use 'Aussie - 3 minute miracle' conditioner - wonderful for deep-conditioning your hair. They also make shampoos and conditioners for dry hair which you can use regularly. It's important to deep condition your hair at least once a week if you're using straighteners. There is also a product called 'Frizz-Ease' which is a serum or spray which is great for frizziness.

What's the best treatment for dry, frizzy hair from flat-ironing?

Make sure you use a good heat protectant before flat-ironing. The one you're using might not be strong enough. Then follow-up with an anti-frizz silicone after styling.

You might want to try simply stylin silk. It's a light-weight pure silicone that doesn't have alcohol or water in it. It coats the hair to prevent heat or humidity from penetration, so you can use it for protecting from heat and for preventing frizz. It's hard to find in stores, so check some salons in your area or go to their website www.simplystylinhair.com.

Where can I get a great hair straightner..Chi, Np, Hai, for a great price in Mississauga?

You can get if at places like, Watson, Guardian etc.

Where can I get a great hair straightner..Chi, Np, Hai, for a great price in Mississauga?

i dont know where that is but i no they have a chi iron at target for 119.99

What is a better hair straightener chi or sedu?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.

For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees.

Good luck!

What is a better hair straightener chi or sedu?

I'd highly recommend a Chi, what do you see professionals using? And if your ditsy and drop it a lot its going to break! But so will a glass!

I've used many brands and after purchasing a Chi at a salon wouldn't go back to anything else.

You can purchase one at folica.com and hey if it breaks save your stuff, let them know, and have a replacement sent to you...

When should I apply Farouk CHI Transformation System Silk Infusion to my hair?

I received a sample when I bought a CHI flat iron and I was wondering if you apply it to wet or dry hair...

When should I apply Farouk CHI Transformation System Silk Infusion to my hair?

Put it in damp hair. Then blowdry. This allows the product to absorb into the hair. Then straighten. Then apply a little through the ends to seal the cuticle.

What to do about frizzy hair?

I have horribly frizzy hair. It's naturally curly, and the only two things I can do to keep it from driving me insane is to either tie it back and apply a lot of cream to keep it from turning into a massive brown cottonball in the back, or straighten it. I use a Chi straightening iron and it works really well, but it takes three hours. I really want curly hair, but whenever I leave my hair down, within five minutes, it looks more like a wild mass of random strands than curls. Are there any suggestions on what I could do? Even if they are expensive or a bit time-consuming, that's okay. Thank you for your time.

What to do about frizzy hair?

I say Frizz-Ease too, I have curly hair and it works for me. There are also many professional products availible at hair-dressers.

What to do about frizzy hair?

I HAVE TRYED EVERYTHING AND, I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND ANYTHING THAT WORKS. Report It

What to do about frizzy hair?

Try Frizz-Ease

What to do about frizzy hair?

Try a serum that is water based, that will do you wonders!

What to do about frizzy hair?

u should get a perm

What to do about frizzy hair?

Try leave-in conditioner and if that doesn't work...try putting in some mayo...sounds disgusting but it works.

What to do about frizzy hair?

AG varnish works great. My sister had the same problem. She uses mouse and a defuser to dry her hair. She scrunches it with the defuser as it's drying. She has to die for curls now and no frizz. She just had to learn what worked for her hair and stop working against it. Hope this helps

What to do about frizzy hair?

iron it

What to do about frizzy hair?

Do you shampoo it by piling it all on top of your head? That's a major no-no with hair like yours. Try shampooing your scalp only, if you already don't, and deep condition the rest of your hair. A leave-in conditioner might help too.

Straightening it often might make it frizzy, too, so make sure your hair is well conditioned and in good shape before you do that for long amounts of time. Hope this helped!

What to do about frizzy hair?

John Freida frizz Serum

What to do about frizzy hair?

Use a good moisturizing shampoo/conditioner (I like Got2B brand) and try frizz-eaze or a gloss serum on your hair. Pommade helps, too.

Dont blowdry your hair, and dont touch it while it is air-drying, that will make it frizz.

What to do about frizzy hair?

hey..........y don't u buy a wig.......

What to do about frizzy hair?

AUSSIE SPRUNCH SPRAY - The love of my life.

Seriously. It works.

What to do about frizzy hair?

I don't know where you live, but if you ever go to NYC, you should make an appointment at a salon called Devashan in Soho (Manhattan). They specialize in curly/frizzy hair. They'll teach you how to manage it to keep it curly but frizz free. They'll probably also want to cut it in a way that the curls fall nice naturally. They have a book called Curly Girl. Maybe you can at least call them and have one shipped to you. It's really freeing not to have to straighten your hair....

What to do about frizzy hair?

i have the same problem! if u use so many products at the same time then u will just ruin ur hair!!! so if u find out what 2 use then answer my Q i will have the same Q! k? k

What to do about frizzy hair?

it sounds kike your hare is lacking natural oils.

there is many things you can do.

i have had the same problem and ppl told me to try so many crazy things. i did find some that work. slightly shorter hare is a good start that is only if you can use more than one binder 3-4 in apart .

other wise hand lotion will help and it is not Gross just a one squirt should do

idid and do both

What to do about frizzy hair?

Girl!!!!!!!!! I had the same problem not now but used to. I had to keep my hair cut short just to deal with it. I get perms now just for manageability. I only get them maybe once or twice a year. They help with the curls and the straightness. Makes it less time consuming.

What to do about frizzy hair?

i have naturally curly hair too it may be a hassle to have this kind of hair but i would reccommend you like your hair because a lot of people LOVE curly hair a lot of people tell me that they would die to have my hair and im sure that theyd die to have yours too. if you are still hating your hair i would say use some frizz control stuff

What to do about frizzy hair?

I read that towel drying causes frizzies because the terrycloth roughs up the hair cuticle. Try using a jersey knit (like a t-shirt) instead. Also, if you wash your hair at night, sleep on a satin rather than a cotton pillowcase; cotton causes bedhead while satin will not mess your curls.

What to do about frizzy hair?

i have curly hair and running gel throw my hair in morning helps alot with the frizz prob

What to do about frizzy hair?

Try the new Sunsilk De-frizz . The green one is for Frizz prone waves or curls. you can get free sample at their website www.defrizz.com. It cames with shampoo and conditioner and 24/7 creme. I use it . It is great.

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

I think I am going to get the original chi for Christmas and I was wondering if that temperature setting would be too hot/not hot enough for my hair? I have extremely thick, curly hair.

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

My understanding is that the Chi temperature is designed for all types of hair. I have rather thick, really wavy hair and it works wonders..I love mine!!! Make sure to use a thermal protectant spray on your hair before you run the Chi through it so it doesn't damage your hair more than it needs to.

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

the high setting then, i have a chi and thick curly hair, it works great!

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

yeahh, hot

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

Its amazing it will work and make your hair perfect

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

don't worry

u have thick hair

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

The temperature is way to hot for anyone's hair. Go with a Maxi Glide it has steam and works a whole lot better than the Chi. You can buy one at Bed Bath and Beyond. I recommend this to anyone.

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

i don't think it would be just use a high heat setting

it shouldn't be anymore damaging then a hair dryer(if you use one)

i love hair straighteners i have one myself but i just use a conair one because my hair is isn't really that curly

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

Chi's are not that great.

I suggest going with a Solia.

If your hair is pretty thick and curly you'll have to do smaller chunks of hair and move down the hair slower since Chi really isn't that great.

I'm suggesting the Solia because I have one and it's amazing. My cousin had a very tight curly perm and extremely thick hair, I had her hair as straight as mine within 30 minutes! It's just amazing!!!

If you're really stuck on the Chi, go to a salon that sells it and talk to a hair dresser!

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

I have the original Chi and I love it. It makes your hair so shiny and straight. The next day your hair looks a little dry so I put on leave in moisturizer.

Also, I know it sounds weird, but mayonnaise works wonders! Put the mayo all over your hair for 15 minutes. The cholesterol in it repairs a lot of damage and dryness!

Will the original chi straightener be too hot for my hair?

i have very thick, curly hair too! i have a ceramic tools straightener that gets up to about 375 degrees..

it shouldnt be too hot for your hair, as long as you put some sort of heat-protective product in before you straighten. also, its probably not a good idea to do your hair every day

Chi????????????

is the chi straightener good?

i know about how it breaks easily and everything, but i just want to know that apart from that does it straighten good?

and im talking about getting STRAIGHT AS A PIN HAIR!

thanks!

Chi????????????

The chi is awesome!!! I've had mine for 3 years and I've never had a problem! If you want super straight hair either go with the Chi or a marcel (not sure about the spelling)

Chi????????????

chi's are the absolute best! go for the one inch

Chi????????????

you must rember that the way of the samurai is to keep a strong and resiliant Chi.

your inner Chi is more important than your hair, shave it off.

i'm joking :D

Chi????????????

no the CHI IS NOT GOOD NOT GOOD AT ALL NO!!!!!!!

Chi????????????

HI

I have the chi and i love it my stylist recommended it and its great. I have really curly natural hair and the chi gets it pin staright. It also looks very shiny aftrewards

2 things about the chi

you have to keep it plugged in for a while to get it to heat up well.

make sure you use a protective cream so you dont burn your hair

they also come in lots of great colors

mine hasnt broken yet and ive had it for 3 years

Chi????????????

Chi is really good. I met with a rep from Farouk (they make chi) today. You have to look at it this way.....when you buy a new dishwasher, it comes with a warranty correct? The warranty is given not becuase they expect it to have a defect, but becuase all electrical appliances big or small, can be defective. Approx 10% of all Chi irons sold go back to the manufacturor with a defect. Considering 4.1 million chi irons were sold last year, I would say 10% is a pretty reasonable number.

Chi was the original flat iron and its still the best!

Ps - to the person who says the chi burned their hair and made it white.....its funny how an iron that only gets to 180C could do that to your hair....chi uses LESS heat then any other iron on the market. Nice Try tho

Chi IRON HELPP? I have almost fine hair and its not to thick.?

Since a Chi doesn't have a temp setting i was wondering if it would damage my hair. I usually use the crappy straightener from the drug store but it doesn't give my the shine i want and its also very damaging, so i was wondering if its better just to get a Chi straightener and how much damage does it do to my hair vs. the regular crappy ceramic one from the drup store. HELLP!!!

Chi IRON HELPP? I have almost fine hair and its not to thick.?

try a different conditioner with your hair first, one that works with heat styling. This could fix the problem and yes if your hair is fine you will damage it with using tongs that are too hot. If you do buy one make sure you use a top quality heat protection product on your hair when you use the straightener

Chi IRON HELPP? I have almost fine hair and its not to thick.?

the Chi will not damage ur hair..i promise

Chi IRON HELPP? I have almost fine hair and its not to thick.?

Well in the case of hairstyling and products the more expensive the better they are. I would NOT buy a chi as they are very expensive but you could buy one from a hairsalon and it would probably do wonders. However you need to protect your hair before applying heat. You need to use a hair serum or a spray (NOT to be confused with hair spray) that is a heat protector.

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

I need a new straightner because i can tell mine is dying. I have very thick hair with a natural wave that is red. I like it to be pin straight or at least somewhere near that. Right now i have a ba bliss (ik its a no name) straightner. With my hair being very thick it needs to be able to reach a high temperature. My hair also gets very easily damaged. I tend to thoroughly straighten my hair (meaning every single piece) once or twice a week and then in the morning i will just touch it up. What is my best value for my money? Is the chi really worth it? Please include LINKS! I am willing to spend up to maybe $150 but that would be it...THE CHEAPER THE BETTER!!!! Also any product recomendations would be great =]]

THANKS!

i have a CHI straightener %26amp;it works REALLY good. My friend has thick hair and it worked for her too. so yeah, it's worth it. (:

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

I was out shopping friday and in the window of Sally Beauty products store they have a knock off I think of the Chi for $49.99 in the window. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

i barely bought a chi and love it!

i found it was cheaper on folica.com

from the reviews many people say the chi breaks easily and that sedu is better.

i still bought the chi though

http://www.folica.com/CHI_Ceramic_Fla_d1...

read the reviews for yourself and decide that way.

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

I DO NOT LIKE THE CHI IRON...try the Paul Mitchell irons, called the smoothing iron. The work great and especially on thick hair. The chi doesnt have a temp. gage but the PM does so you can adjust the heat with them. They sell on ebay all the time for around 96-100$... I personally think that the chi irons are way over-rated. Trust me I have used them both.

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

Sorry, I don't have any links, but I do have suggestions. I have hair that's the thickest it gets so I use the Corioliss. They sell them at the mall carts for $100 ( just make sure u DON'T get the new version, it sucks). Also at Marshalls, I got one that is a no name for $20, and it works even better. They ship straightners to Marshalls all the time, so check there cuz they're cheap.

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

I invested in a CHI. I had mine for 11 months now. I love it. Best thing I ever bought. Gives me silky smooth hair everytime. Fast too, i have long hair down to the middle of my back. I purchased mine at Ulta when I had got my hair done. And just had to have it LOL. Good Luck!

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

I have a Remington Wet2Straight Straightener and it works perfectly. HERE'S A LINK TO SALLY'S BEAUTY SUPPLY:

I need a new hair straightner...whats up with the chi? It can be rather expensive....?

I LOVE wet 2 straight! You can use it when your hair is drenched, and the steam shoots out of these neat jets as it dries and strightens at the same time. This might save you from having to do it more than once a week. +, it has 30 tempertaure settings, and heats up VERY fast.

Will a Chi straightening iron work well on relaxed/coarse curly hair?

Hey

I'm letting my relaxed hair grow out so I have two textures, the relaxed hair and then my natural coarse curly hair.I was wondering if the Chi flat iron would work to keep my hair straight while I let it grow out, without it getting frizzy on me really fast.

Thanks!

Will a Chi straightening iron work well on relaxed/coarse curly hair?

I don't know if the CHI iron is good, but if you're going natural, you don't want to press your hair too much. You don't want to cut off all the perm and have 2 inches of damaged hair. If you're gonna press it, use a heat protectant and put the iron on low heat. Maybe you could transition with braids or twists to keep from handling it too much.

Good luck in whatever you do!!!

Will a Chi straightening iron work well on relaxed/coarse curly hair?

yes, the Chi iron will do wonders for your two textures. Although I've always worn my hair natural, when I use the chi flat iron it gets the hair really smooth. Though I suggest that you use a thermal protectant with a little hair serum to reduce the frizz.

Anyone uses JDL or CERASHINE Flat iron??

I am interested on buying those flat iron called JDL and CERASHINE on ebay, but I have never heard of these brands befor. I dont want to waste my money on something that burns my hair or breaks in 2 months, so please help me out and give me your opinion about them!

Thanks!

well then.Go for it! IF it brakes, it wasn't very expensive anyways right??

Anyone uses JDL or CERASHINE Flat iron??

you're typing smart......why not be just as smart and leave that junk alone...see you look better already

Anyone uses JDL or CERASHINE Flat iron??

hmm seems like im hearing my self talk. i have same style of hair BUT i bought a GHD hair straitener which is the best out there. You can get them discounted on i think www.ghd.com. A hair straitener is not something you should try and save your money on. you can save yoir money but when your hair becomes weak and starts falling out than you'll have to go to hair dresser and than waste your money on reviving your hair to be healthy. GHD actually protects your hair from burning and shines it and can last up to 20 yrs. ii recon go for the best. its quick, easy and heats up in like 10sec

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hai

http://cgi.ebay.com/CHI-INFUSION-PRO-CER...

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

Oh no no no you can't straighten wet hair it will fry!

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

i have it! its pretty awesome but mine u cant use on wet hair or damp it will burn it or something idk.

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

Infusion is part of the brand name. This flatiron is good, but I wouldn't use the serum that comes with it.

NO, do not use a flatiron or curling iron on wet hair. That's a good way to fry the crap out of your hair and mess it up really badly. A little moisture is ok, but if your hair is "wet" don't touch it with anything but the blowdryer.

If you haven't used a flatiron before, go to a pro and have them show you the technique. When I bought mine, I thought it was crap because it didn't work, but it was me not doing it right - now I get nice flat hair with it. Mine is similar to the CHI, but a little more pricey. See the photo for the result you should expect.

Anyone has this sort of chi straightener (see below)...is it super good?does it work on damp/wet hair?

the chi straightner is definitely worth it! its the best flat iron i've ever used. it heats up really fast and will make your hair super straight. all of my friends have one and we all have different hair textures and styles and it works really well for all of us...so invest in it! you won't be disappointed.

Is it okay to use CHI FLAT IRON on my human hair extentions?

chi is very high heat.is it okay to use this flat iron on my hair extentions?

Is it okay to use CHI FLAT IRON on my human hair extentions?

Yes as long as you are sure that they are human. It is also ok do die them. The only thing that i would be careful about is using too much products unless you can wash them. Good luck x

Help hair!!!?

okay i have curly/wavy hair and bangs i want my hair curly and (bangs) straight. but when i straighten them they just make it wavy. they r really thick too. what can i do!!! help!!

p.s i have the chi straighter what am i doing wrong!!!

Help hair!!!?

I have a Chi straightner too and hair just like yours. I love my Chi, it always makes my hair really sleek and shiny i wonder if your doing it right. Have you tried using the Chi thermal protecter? If not, you should apply it after you get out of the shower, then let your hair dry. And then straighten it. Are you trying to straighten large portions of your hair at the same time? If you do this, it just leaves your hair wavy. Take a small portion of you bangs and straighen it about 3 times for a few seconds every time . . . and it should work. Good Luck!

Help hair!!!?

next time you go to a hair appointment to get your hair done (or trimmed) ask your stylist what flat iron/straightner they reccomend and ask them what heat and how to use it while you are there that way you will know how to use it and you will know it works well. good luck.

Help hair!!!?

My advice is just grow your bangs out so it'll be just like the rest of your hair....wavey bangs just dont sound like a good idea...

Help hair!!!?

Some hair is really hard to straighten and needs extra help. Try spraying it with hairspray before straightening. If this makes them TOO straight, spray right after they're straightened so they don't gradually get wavy again. Also, blow-dry them straight first, if you don't do that already. It doesn't really matter what straightener you have, as long as it's hot enough. (Straighteners work in the same very simple way that clothing irons do, and when people used coal-heated antique clothing irons they still had the same effect on cloth...) It's probably just because your hair is so thick that this is difficult!

Help hair!!!?

sounds like my hair.

i use 'lusters pink lotion' for ethnic hair {even tho i don't have ethnic hair} and i straighten my hair every day. i put on the product when my hair is damp, then use a flat brush and blowdryer to blow it straight - but have to use a round brush as well to make it even straighter - the metal in the round brush works as an iron too. plus i always use a straightener as well.

the key to getting them straight is using the brushes in every direction w/ the blow dryer to get them straight.

Help hair!!!?

i have really thick hair too.

1. get the thin chi straightener.

2. straighten it slowly, but not too slowly...you don't want to fry it.

3. thin out your hair. go to a salon and ask for thinner hair and layers.

besides, haircut people love thick hair.

at least mine do. they think it's gorgeous.

Help hair!!!?

I also have the same problem. i usally go to a hair stlyist once every 3months to srtaineet for me. if your in Texas i suggest Ulta beauty salon.

Help hair!!!?

You could get your bangs thinned at the hair dresser's or you could try using an iron (like the ones used for clothing) and a dry towel. I find it works better than an actual flat iron. The other option is getting it chemically straightened. It takes more money, more time, and it does wreck your hair...those the best options I s'pose that could help you.

Good luck with the straightening!

xoxo

What's the best hair straightener on the market?

So I've been straightening my hair for 7 years now, and I've had every kind of straightener from the cheap Revlon one from Wal-Mart to a Paul Mitchell to a Chi. I've had like 3 different Chis over the years and after I use them for so long they stop getting as hot. I don't mind spending the money for the best straightener because my hair is so out of control. Is there anything better out there?? Where can I find it?

What's the best hair straightener on the market?

I would strongly recommend The Sedu,it's the highest rated flat iron in the world and it really does work and it comes in many different sizes.

What's the best hair straightener on the market?

although i have a chi and i love it, i would have to say that the only other straightner i've used that has worked as great as this one was a revlon silver plated straightner. It had very high heat settings and th plates a bigger than the chi so you can straighten more at once. My firend said it was around 200 dollars but it works great. you can only buy it at teh beauty supply store though

I have curly hair, how can i get those big sexy beachy waves everyone else has?

my hair is freaky curly (it takes an hour and a half to straighten with a chi iron on high). ive used a large barreled curling iron, and it looks good, but its hard for me(i know ill get better with practice), but i was looking for something less....dangerous. i heard hot curlers were a good idea(they sound painfull). and ive tried regular curlers, but my hair takes forever to dry (i put them in when wet). so what do you suggest?

I have curly hair, how can i get those big sexy beachy waves everyone else has?

use a flat iron to get it straight

I have curly hair, how can i get those big sexy beachy waves everyone else has?

after you wash you hair put mouse in it!! .... when you wash you hair the curls arent as big and they are wet! so towel of your hair a bit just so that its not dripping apply the mousse then. i dont no what mousse but it any 1 that when you spray it out its a bit white foamy blob! you can apply whatever amount that is needed depends the on thickness of you hair

I have curly hair, how can i get those big sexy beachy waves everyone else has?

Hot curlers aren't painful. You can't feel the warmth.

I would get large barrel rollers. Put them in your hair at night when it's really close to being dry. The bottom will be dry. Roll them tight to pull your natural curls out and take them out in the morning. Don't worry, Your hair will have nice waves.

I have curly hair, how can i get those big sexy beachy waves everyone else has?

You could try getting the sponge rollers, putting them in your wet hair before you go to bed, and then when you wake up you should have some loose curls.

Hot curlers aren't really painful, no more so than a curling iron. In fact, they don't even get as hot, so there's less risk of burning yourself with them.

Even just blow-drying your hair should loosen out your curls, and might give you the result you're looking for.

Which is better a real original Chi or ghd hair flat iron straightener?

I have very very thick curly curly hair i never wear it down because its so curly and looks like a gross fro. Actually its more like triangle shaped, so i like to straightener my hair a lot. Please! someone help i want to get a good hair straightener finally, then spending 20 bucks on these cheap hair straighteners.

Which is better a real original Chi or ghd hair flat iron straightener?

I have both and they work almost perfectly the same

Which is better a real original Chi or ghd hair flat iron straightener?

I have a CHI that I purchased at a Farouk Hair Show more than 5 years ago and it works great. I use it every day. My customers love them and most who straighten their hair have purchased one. In all fairness, I cannot say anything about the ghd because I have never used one. Always use a thermal protectant on your hair when using a flat iron. CHI Iron Guard is very good as is WIO Strait Balm by Framesi.

Which is better a real original Chi or ghd hair flat iron straightener?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etc

CHI ceramic ionic hair dryer is only 1300watts.Is this powerful enough?

as a stylist i prefer higher watts but ive heard such great things about chi is it worth it

CHI ceramic ionic hair dryer is only 1300watts.Is this powerful enough?

a girl at my salon bought the chi blowdryer last year and she dont have it anymore. she said it wasn't powerful and it didnt last long, not even 6 months. so i would say no. i use the elchim 2001 and ive had it for 1 1/2 years and still going. i LOVE that blowdryer its powerful and gets hot, great for blowouts!

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

Spiral perm?

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron to straightened my hair for a differnt look so that I don't have to wear it curly all the the time.

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

are you sure you want to spiral perm your hair?

because you can just make it look naturally curly and THEN if you want spiral curls than you can use a curling iron. when your hair is curly/wavy, you can wear it natural, straighten it, or curl it MORE!

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

Yes....It should work! My sister has one and it works great!

If I spiral perm my hair can I use the chi flat iron?

Nope, nope, nope...Flat ironing your hair will progressively relax your perm and break off your hair.

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

i have a question about some of these products. are they good? i have dry hair and its kinda wavy when not relaxed. i get a relaxer every 6 weeks. I have no color yet.

-CHI silk infusion

-Biosilk finishing spray

maybe:

Biosilk thermal shield

its okay if you only no about one. also do you know any good shampoos for dry hair?

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

i have a personal hair dresser and she suggests chi silk infusion is the like best thing. it works really well!

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

Why don't you try Creme of Nature Shampoo and Conditioner.

Dr. Miracles Shampoo and Conditioner.

I never used those products you listed.

I use Isoplus Oil Sheen

Revlon Realistic Finishing Spray (in the red can)

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

you need to get a deep conditioner if your hair is dry. Arosci has some good ones. these are in salons. they have a good deep treatment that my clients love and have good shampoo and conditioners to. the chi silk infusion is awesome but is not going to help with dryness, it's only going to add shine and make your hair softer. the biosilk is only going to do the same thing.

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

i use TIGER MASQUE by GRUND it's a deep conditioner. it is the BEST product to use on your hair. i use it once a week to keep my hair looking very shiny and healthy. this product is awesome!! when i use it is looks like i just stepped out of a salon with spiral curls. you have got to try it and i promise you that you'll always go back for more. it's a little expensive but it lasts forever. use it once a week and TRUST me you'll see the MAJOR difference in how healthy your hair will be after one use of it. hope i helped ya:)

Hair products?!?! pleaz help??

those products are pro salon products so u cant reallly go wrong. Even tho bio silk is in the regulars stores its still a salon product.. Look at the shampoo and see if its meant for dry hair and use that.. Framesi Tresa Purology those are some of the greatest products that are out on the market right now Use a hydrating shampoo and a hydrating conditioneer until ur hair feels better

Hair Help?!?

I am getting a new straightener, and I want one that is high quality with good results that doesn't damage your hair. ISO demonstrated their flat iron on me at a mall stand, and it worked great. They say it does not damage your hair and is 100% ceramic. I have looked it up, and they don't seem to be very well known. I am also looking into Chi. From what I have read, they work wonderfully, but then something with the plug breaks or stops working. And also, do you think it is a bad idea to get one of these brand new and unopened on ebay? Thanks.

Hair Help?!?

i perfer CHI just because im well more situated with the brand than ISO.

i own a CHI for about 3 years now and its still working great. i have had no problems with it whatsoever. the plug breaking incident may be due to improper care or something due to ageing.

i also dont see anything wrong with buying a new straightner over ebay. just be safe when buying over the internet !

happy hunting !

Hair Help?!?

I have the T3 bespoke wet or dry iron and im very happy with it. It doesn't damage your hair either. It is pretty expensive. I bought it from sephora for $200. But you might want to check it out. It's on their website.

Hair Help?!?

Get your hair straightener from a trusted stylist because most flat irons have 2 year warranty from the manufacturer, and it must be done throught the hairstylist. If you are going to use a straightener, use a thermal active setting spray to protect your delicate strands!! GOOD LUCK!!!

Hair Help?!?

you say you're looking into Chi? get Chi's damage control stuff. you just spray it on your hair before you straighten it, and it should prevent most damage.

Hair Help?!?

Ehhh ebay can be unreliable, so you never know, but the one that i use i get from my salon person, but i think you can get it at Sally's beauty shop if you have one of those, its a 2 inch flat iron and it gets up to 400 degrees like a chi, except its a lot cheaper and it works equally as well (i've used my friends chi and its no better than my straightener). Its called Salon Creations.

Good Luck!

:)

Hair Help?!?

They have alot of really good hair straightners out now.. I have the Chi its pretty pricey though. But i went to a salon once to get my hair straightned and the had the Maxiglide and it work really really well. It really depends what type of hair you have thought i have curly hair so i have to have a tough straightner..

Hair Help?!?

Anything with heat will damage your hair, because heat causes the imbrications on the cuticle to lift and seperate, making your hair more porous and exposing the cortex. It also breaks the hydrogen bonds in your hair.

There are products to help protect your hair from the heat, but nothing will totally protect it.

Solid ceramic plates are best... I have a HAI convertable flat iron, it gets to 400 degrees and is more economical than say chi.

Hair Help?!?

I got a CHI this summer. It is amazingggg! Ceramic plates and everything. If you get one, keep the recipt and the box in case it breaks. get the heat protection stuff, and don't starighten your hair everyday and it will work for you. if you dont want to spend money on a CHI then my friend has a nice one from revlon which worked pretty well.

Hair Help?!?

The CHIs do break easily and if you tried that one at the mall and you liked it, get it. If your hair wasn't damaged, get it! If you're not sure about it, go with a Sedu or HairArt. =)

Hair Help?!?

Straighteners themselves tend to damage your hair regardless of what they're made of. Ceramic may not pull all of the oils out of your hair but it still does harm it. Your best bet if you are planning on straightening your hair on a daily bases would be to get your hair straightened. Japanese straightening works fantastically and will do minimal damage compared to a reverse perm.

If you insist on a straightener instead get an ionic ceramic straightener and be sure to ask for a heat protectant from your hair stylist.

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

My hair is so nappy. I need a good straightner. what do u guys think?!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

you might want one that has levels. The CHI i had didn't have levels to choose and it fried my hair. Hope it helps

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I think Chi is the best!!

Are you using a heat protector? Any kind of spray before you straighten? If your just putting it on your hair without anything, then that's why it is dry. Try using Bedhead Fashionista, it will protect your hair from the heat, and make it look straighter. Don't use hairspray, its full of alcohol and will suck the moisture right out. Good luck

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

Conair steamer is really great on my friends hair it comes out as straight as mine...its my straightner and my hair is naturally straight why did someone buy me that i dont know?

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I have nappy, DRY, cuuuurly hair. I use the CHI. You are not going to find a better straighener. However, you would be best served to use the accompanying products. Use the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. Your hair will be like nothing you could imagine! I know it's expensive, but you have to pay the price when you have hair like ours, and the results are amazing!!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

Try a Solia. Go to www.folica.com

They're about $88.00 and well worth it. I'm a hairstylist and have used my for a couple of years now and love it!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I use this fantastic product put out by John Frieda called "Frizz-Ease Hair Serum". It's this concentrated thick clear liquid that you run through your hair while it's damp. All I do is comb my hair, and my hair is stick straight all day! (but be careful not to use more than a dime sized amount- it's very concentrated!) John Frieda has a whole line of hair straightening products and all of them are highly recommended! Good luck!

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

They conair ones work good. Expessially the one that has venting holes you can dry your hair when its dry and it wont fry up. It works really. good.

hope this helps =]

What is the best straightner out there to use on thick, wavy hair? the CHI makes my hair dry.?

I have very thick course hair. I also use a Chi. I find that the Aveda universal styling creme works well for me. I put a little in (about a dime size) before I blow dry and then about the same amount before I iron. Paying attelntion more to the middle and ends of my hair. Not the roots because it will look greasy. It seems to be all about the products you use. I wouldn't go to a conair iron. Alot of them are just ceramic coated (a very thin layer) and it wears off very quickly.

Chi spray or Biosilk? What is better?

I hate the smell of Chi products, so I bought the Biosilk serum and spray. I want to use it before straigthening my hair with the Sedu. Is that ok?

Chi spray or Biosilk? What is better?

Us a very small amount of the Bio silk! It can make hair greasy and heavy VERY quickly!. If you need more when u are done, then gradually add it. I don't know what a Sedu is, so I can really answer the question fully...sorry

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

My straightening iron advertised it could do curls and such... but what is the proper technique to do this? My hair is fine, and I could use some body....

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I have the Chi. Since it is so skinny; it can also be used as a curling iron. Use it the same way, just take a section which you want to curl, and take a small piece

take the chi and clamp the hair at the bottom and just curl the hair around it likeyou would a curling iron. putting a little gel/hairspray on the hair before you curl it will help keep the curl from coming undone. Hold the chi and the hair curled aorund it in place for about 30 sec

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I'm not sure, but it should. I don't use Chi, I think my mom gave her Revlon one.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I don't really know if you can curl hair with a straight iron, how do you like the iron so far??? I almost bought one today.

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

I have fine hair too and I love to take about a 1-2 inch section of hair starting about 2 inches from the root. Put the hair in the Chi iron and rotate the iron as you pull it straight down through your hair to the tip. (You aren't starting at the tips and rolling up like you would a normal curling iron.) This will give loose pretty waves and a ton of volume. I figured this out by just trying different things with mine. Much to my surprise I have finally found a look I love!

A particular way to curl hair with Chi straightening iron?

The Chi is awesome at curling! As a stylist, I sell just as many flat irons to straight hair people (for curling) as I do for straightening. There are many different curls you can accomplish with it. It just takes a little practice. Depending on the length of your hair, place the flat iron at the midshaft of the hair, clasp the iron shut and twist and slide in one fluid motion, continuing all the way down until the end of the hair slides through. If you stop or pause, you can end up with weird creases or lines. Experiment with larger or smaller sections of hair, but guaranteed the Chi will be your new best friend. Also, experiment with starting near the scalp or use it to just bump the ends.

How can I repair the loose wire within my Chi Ceramic hair straightener.my warranty has expired.?

You may be able to take it to a general appliance fix-it shop. I did that with my electric razor--works like new. You can also contact the company to see what they recommend....

How can I repair the loose wire within my Chi Ceramic hair straightener.my warranty has expired.?

It is likely that you have at least one frien who could fix it, or that one of their freinds would know. Ask around.

Fixing the wire itself is a piece of cake, probably. Note that appliances always warn you that opening up the case could rewsult in fatal electric shock. Right. If the device is not plugged into the wall, you will not get an electric shock. Probably they put this sign on the device to scare people away from trying to repair them, thus forcing them to bring their device back for repair (and thus forcing them to pay money... so it goes with industry...)

If it is just a loose wire, it should take about 5 min to open up the case and re-solder the wire or tighten the screw. I still recommend getting someone who knows what they are doing, but that does not mean it must cost anything.

How can I repair the loose wire within my Chi Ceramic hair straightener.my warranty has expired.?

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

Right now I use a ceramic Conair straightener, and it is alright, but because my hair is so thick it takes about 45 minutes to straighten it! I've heard the Chi is a really good flat-iron; is it worth the money? What is everyone's favorite hair straightener?

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I'm getting a Sedu. It's top rated on Folica.com and it's cheaper then the Chi. Apparently they break. Good luck!

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I have wavey and thick hair too! And i use Chi it is awsome! It takes me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair useing that! I have the pink one. But like i said Chi is the best ever i think!

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

go to your local salon and ask them what they would recommend or alot of them sell really nice ones there. they can be pretty expensive but it works better than alot of the ones that you can buy in the stores.

Wet 2 Straight by Remmington. Pure GENIUS.

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I wasted money on numerous cheap straighteners so I finally spent the extra for GHD straightners %26amp; they are fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone. I bought mine from a salon about 6 months ago %26amp; they cost me 鎷?9.

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I have two pairs of straighteners, Chi %26amp; GHD ones, i recommend them to anyway with thick hair... they heat up quick so you don't need to wait too long for them to heat up..

i got my GHD's for 鎷?5 because I worked in a salon so I got it cheaper, but if you were to buy them it would cost around 鎷?00-鎷?10 x

What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

best hair straightner? well there used to be one I saw on t.v. as a commercial where it works really well. all you had to do was slide it down your hair and viola! straight hair, it didn't matter what type of hair you had. sorry, but I have no idea what it is called, even though my friends and relatives use it sometimes. my advice? hair salon. they could help you make your hair straight or give you tips or advice of what and how do to make your hair straighter.

I use a Coriollos.

You can get a new on on Ebay for only $50 when they sell for $150.

This hair straightener is amazing.

I've had mind for a long long long time now and it still works great.

You can even get a pretty good flat iron from a store. If it says it gets up to 350 degrees or more than you are GOOD to go :D

Don't use a Wet to Straight flatiron. Those ruin your hair and are very bad. You're better off blow drying your hair and flat ironing it.

Hair straightener help!?

I have the maxi-glide and it works pretty good...but I wish that I had gotten the Sedu because everyone says it's the best.

Flat ironing hair question (with layers)?

So I love my hair when i straighten it. I do everything to try to get it that way, I blow dry, i use a straightening serum, and shampoo, conditioner and a whole bunch of other products. I even used to have the infiniti by conair but now i got the chi and i LOVE it...for the longer layers, it stays srtaight all day. Now here's my problem. I used to have long hair, and now its 2 inches past my shoulders with layers going all the way to my checkbone. It looks good, but I miss my long hair. I know it grows 1/2 in. a month, but I need to know this. How do I get the layers straight?? The rest of the long layers are, but not the short ones. They fan out, or flip. Sometimes it doesnt look like i straightened them! Why put my hiar thorugh 400 degrees if it just goes back to fanning out?? Please help! What can I do to not make my short layer fan out?

Flat ironing hair question (with layers)?

Try CHI Iron Guard...it's a thermal spray, but it's also a style holder...it keeps that hair straight!! lol Mine does the same because I have lots of layers and they all end up flipping out unless I use the Iron Guard.

And I live in south Mississippi. It's nice and humid here.

But the Iron Guard holds it.

Flat ironing hair question (with layers)?

Well, what I would suggest is that when you straighten it out, flip towards the inside instead of pulling it towards the opposite side of your head...thats what I used to do when my hair was short.

Flat ironing hair question (with layers)?

i have basically the same hairstyle, and all my layers go staright, when you straighten your hair put it in layers and starighten in, also hold it in the air for the shorter layers on top so it wont frizz, or flip.

goodluck

hope i helped

jenniferleigh

Flat ironing hair question (with layers)?

My hair does this sometimes. Okay, when you're ironing, make sure you section your hair out and do thin sections at a time. If you try and iron a big wad of hair, you'll never get the ends straight. Pull straight down your hair with the flat iron, or turn your hair slightly under with it. Also, you may want to get some wax or pomade, put a tiny bit on the ends only (not too much or it will look greasy), then iron over it. In a pinch, hairspray will do this job, but ironing over hairspray too many times may cause damage.

Flat ironing hair question (with layers)?

i think u shud use hair spray

Ok Ladies which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

thanks girls

ps its for my sister not me lol

Ok Ladies which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

T3 Tourmaline definitely. I work at a hair salon, and that is one of the best dryers you can get. It's very lightweight (hence the Featherweight name) and it's quiet as well. This product also comes with a four year warranty, that they are very good about. You sign up online for the warranty and it takes 3 minutes. Then if ANYTHING happens to it, if you have your serial number they send you a new one, no problems.

How do you know when the CHI turbo hair straightner is hot enough?

It had a red light, but sometimes it flashes,so i'm not sure.

How do you know when the CHI turbo hair straightner is hot enough?

It should starting flashing within a minute and that's when it's ready.

How do you know when the CHI turbo hair straightner is hot enough?

it should start flashing! :)

CHI flat irons / hair dyers tend to lose their heating mechanisms after a while, so keep an eye on that!! Paul Mitchell makes a great flat iron that I think is better.

Straightening straight hair?

I have naturally very straight and smooth hair. I've noticed that the end (about 3 inches) are getting frizzy and and when I straighten it witht he conair infiniti hair design thing it doesn't work. Will it damage my straight hair and make it worse at the top part?

If so what straightener is better solia or sedu. Please don't recommend the chi because I don't like the fact that there is no temp. control. Thanks

Straightening straight hair?

trim off the 3 inches!!!!!!! there is no need to straighten already straight hair! it damages it even more! just brush your hair and you will look beautiful!

Straightening straight hair?

Girl, your hair needs a trim. There is nothing you can do about split ends except trim them. Come on now.

Straightening straight hair?

Maybe you should just clip the ends instead of putting heat on it!! Heat isn't really good for your hair so it could just be making it worse. So you may want to try just clipping it and make sure you are taking good care of you hair by keeping it moisturized and make sure you get the ends clipped every so often!!

Straightening straight hair?

It sounds like you may have split ends. if you haven't had your hair trimmed in a while that would be my 1st suggestion. Otherwise try using a leave-in conditioner, hot oil treatment, or a dry ends serum. If your hair has just started doing this, then it is probably something that can be easily fixed (without all the heat).

Straightening straight hair?

you cant strainten straight hair it will burn man!

Straightening straight hair?

I recommend getting your hair trimmed.. You probably have split ends. I heard Solia is apparently the best, but I don't know that for a fact, cause I have a CHI.

Straightening straight hair?

Yes, it will damage your hair.

Straightening straight hair?

trim at the ends. But DON'T straighten you hair anymore if your hair is naturally really straight. I know a girl that had really straight hair and she straightened it alot and how her hair is really thin and the color is getting lost, and shes only 14.

Straightening straight hair?

First get a CHI.

Straightening straight hair?

You don't need a straightener, you need a trim. You can extend the length by not using any heat styling of any kind, eating right and taking multivitamins, but you cannot repair the damage that is already there. Cut it off, and stop the heat styling if you want it to grow back longer and healthier.

Straightening straight hair?

if u have straight hair u shouldnt flat iron ur hair...i have wavy hair and i flat iron every single day

Ceramic tools hair iron?

what's your opinion on that

i mean i know CHI'S are way better but im not in such a need for an iron to spend more than 50 on an iron

i just have straight hair with random kinks

and i';ve used conair for a year now and my hair is very silky becuse i take cair of it:)

does it last after you straighten your hair o goes back to normal after an hour?

Ceramic tools hair iron?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Fine thin hair help?

I have fine thin hair that was naturally curly until I ruined it by getting a bad highlight job in June and then a chi permanent straightener in October because I couldn't stand all the breakage and frizz from the highlight as I was trying to grow it out. It's now so greasy and stringy when I get up and I have to wash it daily. It looks so thin and lifeless because my hair was fine and thin anyway. I'm trying to get cuts every 4 weeks and let all the top layers grow out because I want my old hair back. Any suggestions would be appreciated? I've heard henna conditioners help and someone told me to try coconut oil mixed with castor oil before shampooing. Anyone ever heard of this?

Fine thin hair help?

You have to quit washing your hair daily! It's one of the worst things you can for your hair. I know sometimes walking around with dirty, oily hair just isn't an option, so to give the appearance of clean hair without actually cleaning it daily, rub baby power in your hair...especially around the scalp.

Try to avoid hair products, especially gels and sprays while you're giving your hair a break.

Also, avoid "anti-flat" shampoos, they might seem great, especially right after washing, but the next day your hair is once again flat.

If you don't already, start taking a multivitamin. When you do wash, use a deep conditioning shampoo and conditioner. Although you may feel like this weighs your hair down, it's actually strengthening your strands for healthier hair.

Use a comb instead of a brush to comb through wet hair, brushes tend to be harsh on wet hair, so avoid them!

Most importantly, give it time. There are no real hair miracles.

Fine thin hair help?

its just going to make your hair greasy and limp

Bed head ALL THE WAY.

It works VERY well, and is pretty cheap if you find it on sale. the have a de-friz leave in conditioner. just go to your local beauty store. Hope i helped.

Your expirence with hair products?

I recommend Pureology. I was turned onto this by my stylist. It is a bit pricy (averaging $25 a bottle) but it is well worth it.

Also, they are vegan, organic products. They smell delicious and are good for your hair. Check out the link to the website.

red ken all the way. It works very well. I also have frizzy, dry damaged hair from bleach. It makes my hair soft and smooth without that greasy residue

What could it be? A marble sized blister that went away but now hair loss on my chi?

My chi is ten years old and a few weeks ago he got a marble sized blister beneath his right eye. He's had it there once before but it was half the size and went away after a few days. This time it lasted two weeks and now that it's been gone a week he's losing his hair where the blister was and the skin is all saggy and wrinkly. I'm wandering if this is more serious than I believe and if I should go ahead and pawn something to see the vet. I'll be taking him to the vet anyways mid November when I'll finally have some extra money.

What could it be? A marble sized blister that went away but now hair loss on my chi?

Sounds like he has a cyst. They can get pretty nasty and infected,as well as very sore. The vet can drain it and put some antibiotics on the site.

What could it be? A marble sized blister that went away but now hair loss on my chi?

could somebody touched him with a cigarette?

Which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

thanks girls

ps its for my sister not me lol

Which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

The T3 Tourmaline Featherweight is definitely better. I am a hairdresser and had this same question 2 years back. Definitely visit this web page which will tell you all about it.

(It's made of crushed tourmaline jewels which are most ionic, resulting in soft, shiny, and undamaged hair.) It even dries your hair quicker.

Which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

Chi Rocket dryer is the best

Which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

I think that CHI products are consistently great ! I have a few CHI products and they do very well for styling and maitenanace. I do not know anyone that has the T3. I hope that your sister enjoys whatever she gets.

Which is better the CHI Rocket Hair Dryer or T3 Tourmaline Featherweight?

I read amazing things about T3 Tourmaline so I bought the $300 Evolution and hated it. I used really good hair products and my hair is very healthy and it fried my hair. I returned it. T3 and Bepoke just merged so I am chalking it up to growing pains.

~Deanna

How do you blow-dry hair straight if your hair is curly and frizzy lol?

i forgot the exact name but yu should use this garnier fructis stuff that you pump onto your hands and massage into your hair it gets your hair super silky but i normally would just use the starightener but you hold up you hair with a round brush and blow dry it out thats basically it

How do you blow-dry hair straight if your hair is curly and frizzy lol?

what i do is right after the shower take one of those circular bruses and blow dry it straight

maybe u can get some help from a parent if u need it to

How do you blow-dry hair straight if your hair is curly and frizzy lol?

Use a dryer on low to medium heat and dry it in sections starting at the back and bottom. Also use products that help with straightening and anti-frizz.

How do you blow-dry hair straight if your hair is curly and frizzy lol?

Now you can get ceremic hair brushes, that you blow dry ur hair through so the plates heat up and dont add any extra heat, or u can use a vent brush.

How do you blow-dry hair straight if your hair is curly and frizzy lol?

with one hand, hold the blowdryer downwards, with other hand, comb it straight and the dryer will keep that smooth texture.

How do you blow-dry hair straight if your hair is curly and frizzy lol?

What i would do is get a blow dryer with rlly high levels, and dry your hair as you bruch it.

add hairspray as u go along so u can kepp it that way

How do you curl your hair with a chi? my hair is really long?

-Blow dry your hair straight using a blow drier or a nice flat iron

-Divide your hair into thin sections ans spray each section with curl activator like TREsemme curl activator.

-Using a large barrel hot curling iron, curl each section and repeat until your full hair is done.

-Separate the curls with your fingers and spray them with a good holding spray to keep them in place and control them form becoming poofy.

-For more shine u can spray TREsemme hair shine spray.

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

I've owned my chi for 6 months or so and absolutely love it. Definitely worth the money invested! Hope you have a happy birthday!

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

My hairstylist recommended this Chi flatiron, she uses one on my hair and it gets really straight. and my hair is hard to straighten.

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

I'm not sure about the chi pink. But I use a maxi-glide in my hair. Unlike most straighteners the Maxi glide puts mostier back into your hair. It works really well on my hair, and my hair is so thick and spongy but it works well on my hair. And really straightens it out.

Is the new chi pink hair straghtner good or bad does it heat up fast let me know the best one?

i think ghds are better, ive had mine for 3 years and used them daily, they may not be pink but they work AMAZINGLY and even though they have been around the world and dropped a million times they still work, I have just replaced them for the new model but from my experience ghds are by far better than any straighteners

look at it this way, every place i get my hair cut (including toni %26amp; guy) use ghds and hairdressers swear by them

Hair straightener recommendation?

I had a SuperStar ceramic straightener for 5 years... it was GREAT! Made my hair smooth and silky (and my hair is very thick and wavy/curly and prone to frizz). Unfortunately, I accidentally fried it on a recent trip (wrong voltage), and I can't find it again to get a new one. Can anyone recommend another (comparable) brand? I'm NOT a fan of the Chi... didn't feel it did as good of a job as my straightener, and it was kind of awkward feeling.

I highly recommend Sedu. I have the same hair type as you and it really works. It works on all hair types and will keep your hair straight for days. Here's a link for before and after pics.

Remington Wet 2 Straight but it works better if your hair is Dry.i use mine almost everyday and my hair is really curly and get frizzy easy and quick but it keepes it from frizzing. and works really good.

Hair straightener recommendation?

hm, your not a fan of the chi.

okay well then i would try a solia or a ghd.

you can find both on folicia.com

or if those are to much sally beauty supply has a generic version of the chi/solia that works great. i use that one and my hair is silky and smooth and its not fried at all.

Hair straightener recommendation?

Bed head hair straighteners are really really good!

Hair straightener recommendation?

Well any straightner is good now days. Just make sure u get a high voltage kind. Usually the expensive ones are. Try goin to the mall and go to the lil booths that sell them. They let you try them.

Good Luck

Hair straightener recommendation?

revlon is amazing

Hair straightener recommendation?

I would definitely recommend ghd straighteners. I've had mine for years and they are just the best - my friends have tried them and reckon that the types they have don't compare at all. They are quite pricey but well worth the money - couldn't manage without mine!

Hair straightener recommendation?

You can try Paul Brown. http://www.stylebell.com/Paul-Brown-Hawa...

They had a problem when they first changed over to a digital thermostat, but I think they have worked all of that out now.

This looks like a great iron. Tourmaline + spring plates + adjustable heat + swivel cord attachment + good reviews = nothing left to want.

http://www.folica.com/SuperStar_Super_d3...

Hair straightener recommendation?

Sedu is the best. That's what my hair stylist use. I've tried many flat irons (CHI, TCP, T3 and GHD).

Hair straightener recommendation?

Solia works great for me. Chi fried my hair (Chi has no temperature control)

Hair straightener recommendation?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

I need a good quality straightener that won't damage my hair too much. I have thick, wavy hair. I need it to straighten my hair, keep it straight, and also leave my hair shiny and without frizz.

Please tell me which one you use, where you got it from, how much it cost, and how well it has worked for you on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best.

I know a lot of people have used the Chi. If you recommend it, please include why it's worth the price. And if it lasts for a long time.

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

Conair /I got it from target.

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

I researched straightening irons last time I was going to buy one and had decided to get a Sedu.I don't live near a mall and there is a Sally close to my house and because I was sort of in a hurry to purchase one I thought I'll try one of theirs and if I don't like it I'll take it back. I bought a Jilbere Tourmaline Series flat iron at Sally. I think it cost around $.69.00 It is GREAT. Everyone that uses it says "your hair iron is aw some!" It was probably less than half of what I would have paid for a Sedu or Chi. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 10. I really don't think it could do a better job.Do like I did, give it a try, and if you don't like it take it back. Trust me though, you won't take it back.Whatever brand you choose, make sure it's a tourmaline straightener. They are far less damaging to your hair. God bless!!

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

Ceramic - and it's worth whatever the cost in your area. Shop the net, you'll probably find some within your price range.

Remember, it's not like your hair is going to suddenly go straight on it's own. So buy one that will last for years!

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

i use a paul mitchel SMOOTHING iron. it straightens your hair really good but dost make it so that once you straighten it you cant curl it or watever, you can still flip it out or culr it or watever, it was recomended by my hair stylest and i talk to people at the store and they said that it was one of the best out right now. i know chi is also a good brand, ive never used one but when i was looking at the chi smoothing iron, it didnt seem as well made as the p.m. it was rly light and didnt have any setings. well the p.m. was about a little over $150 with tax, and it has a lifetime garantee as long as you keep your original box and recipt, i got it from the style club. compared to the other straigteners ive had i would probably rate it a 9. most people think its just a personal referance between the paul mitchel and chi, and they are the top brands right now. but remember if you can try and get the smoothing iron cause it wont make your hair like fryed looking =)

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

well i would tell you to get a CHI because i have thick wavy hair and that is what i needed to my cousin got a CHI and when she straightens it it looks relay nice so that is what i got it is around like 139 or 150 i would give it a 10 i have just gotten it so sorry i dot know how long it would really last but if you try eBay.com or slick deals or someplace like that you can try to get a better deal ad about damages my cousin also got this spray Worth her and she told me that it was with the CHI straightener so you wont get as many split ends as the other straighteners so it will keep your hair straight leave your hair shiny and without frizz and also one more thing if you feel like you also want to curl your hair then you can i went to a hair Salon place and they curls my sisters hair then straightened it it was really pretty if you dint know how i am not sure how to explain it but you can go to a hair salon and ask good luck.

What is the best hair straightener ever? please answer!?

Hi,

I'm a cosmetologist, so I think I might be able to help you!

First of all, the original Chi is worth the price. Farouk Systems makes a wonderful line of products that go along with it. Under regular use it will last a good long time. It lasts at least several years under heavy stress at a beauty shop where we leave them on all day, use them constantly, and even drop them a couple of times...CHI comes with a lifetime warrenty.

As far as why it's price is so high: The ceramic plates on the Chi are made from 44 different kinds of ceramic. It prevents frizzing, smooths, and conditions the hair while you straighten it. To prevent more frizzing, lightly mist the strand that you're going to straighten with Chi 44 Iron Guard spray. It'll assist with the conditioning by restoring the natural oils that you tend to lose when you heat style your hair.

If you stay away from metal plate straighteners, you'll definately have way less damage. When metal heats up, it has a tendancy to burn your hair if you leave it on too long. While a ceramic plate will burn your hair too, it's still less likely to be as bad as with a metal plate.

I do suggest that if you do decide to purchase a CHI Flat Iron, stay away from the CHI Turbo Iron. It just doesn't seem to work as well as the Original CHI.

You might want to also look into permanent straightening, as well. A professional stylist will be able to assist you in acheiving the look that you would like to go for. It's a better alternative to having to get up every morning and flat iron your hair. I suggest looking for a salon that carries Rusk Anti-Curl. It's what I use on my hair to straighten it.

I have a 1/2 inch Deep Brilliance Iron myself. It was made by Farouk Systems as well, but I don't know if they still make them. It's the same as the CHI, but at the time, it was the only 1/2 inch iron that they had, and I have very short hair... I definately give it a 10.

All of the products I have told you about can be bought at a professional Salon.

or...If you happen to have a good friend that's a hairstylist, have them go to their local ArmstrongMcCall store, (they sell only to licensed professionals), and see if they'll order you one, and you'll be able to get the CHI at a slightly cheaper rate. Sometimes, they'll run them on sale as well. But, if not, then you can go to any salon that sells CHI products and pick up a new CHI.

DO NOT GET ONE OFF OF EBAY OR AT ANY STORE OTHER THAN A PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY SALON!!!! THE WARRENTY IS VOID, AND FAROUK SYSTEMS WILL NOT FIX IT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG! IT COULD ALSO BE A FAKE, OLD, OR USED! Product diversion (as it's called) is a form of theft! It takes money from the manufacturer, and from sylists and salons!

I hope this helps you out!
