Farouk systems makes the CHI products and a lot of them are based on infusing silk proteins with your hair to make it strong, silky and shiny. The famous CHI flat iron aides in getting the smooth polished look and it is the BEST flat iron out hands down and any hairdresser will agree. There is nothing totally fantastic about the CHI products (shampoos, conditioners, etc.) but if you were talking about the results you can get from the CHI flat iron, I say go to any decent hair dresser and that will be the model they are using anyway. If you want your own it can run you from $120 -$200 depending where you get it from.

Chi is a straightening iron. It's around $150. I believe that they also make products now. They're pretty good, but nothing *great*. Kerastase is great, but hard to find.
