Are Ghds really good [Also for thick hair]? Please be honest!?

I have been looking at GHDS but i keep getting answers saying Chi's are good. But i come from the Uk and i cant find any for sale here.

Are Ghds really good for thick hair?

Also does any body have any photos of their hair when its gone thick to thin with Ghds?
