What's the best hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

Right now I use a ceramic Conair straightener, and it is alright, but because my hair is so thick it takes about 45 minutes to straighten it! I've heard the Chi is a really good flat-iron; is it worth the money? What is everyone's favorite hair straightener?

go to your local salon and ask them what they would recommend or alot of them sell really nice ones there. they can be pretty expensive but it works better than alot of the ones that you can buy in the stores.

best hair straightner? well there used to be one I saw on t.v. as a commercial where it works really well. all you had to do was slide it down your hair and viola! straight hair, it didn't matter what type of hair you had. sorry, but I have no idea what it is called, even though my friends and relatives use it sometimes. my advice? hair salon. they could help you make your hair straight or give you tips or advice of what and how do to make your hair straighter.
