What's up with that? I think it happened last time I used this product, but I've used other products before with no problem. It is the CHI line, permanent color, dark brown, used with CHI 10 volume activator. My scalp started to get sore about 17 minutes into the process, but I left it on for the remaining three (last time I washed it off early it left my hair red and I had to process it AGAIN with an ash color!).
Is this normal? Will my hair fall out? Does this happen to anyone else? I've scrubbed my scalp 5 times in the shower to really get any color still on there off, and I'm going to dry my hair in a few minutes. Should I put some hydrocortisone on there or something%26gt;
Thanks so much! I'll pick a best answer TODAY!

Doesn't that give you the impression that you shouldn't color it anymore.

Chemicals in the dye were too strong for you. Stop washing your hair for awhile or doing anything else to it to give your scalp a chance to recover. Let hair air dry as much as possible, then use lo setting on dryer and do not put it close to our scalp.

Problems related to coloring hair
When coloring one's hair, it is always advisable to visit a professional hair colorist as there are many mistakes a person could make, as well as some serious consequences.
The following are some of the problems that may occur as a result of applying hair color:
Different color outcome compared to what was expected
Breakage of hair strands
Loss of hair
Dry scalp
Stain on skin from hair dye
Lead acetate as a potential toxin. (Lead acetate is the active ingredient in gradual darkening products such as Grecian formula)
Idiosyncrasy or development of allergic reactions due to the analine derivative found in permanent hair color.
(this sounds like what you're experiencing)
Try going back to products you know you don't react badly with. If you still have this problem, you may be having an allergic reaction, and may have to quit dying your hair, at least temporarily.
