Chi flat iron experience?

im looking to get a chi flat iron turbo in 2 inches, i was wondering if any of you have had experience with it, like how long did yours last? how long does your hair stay straight before getting frizzy? i know i've heard of a company who makes flat irons and they only last about a year, i just need to know that they are durable and will last for the price that they are before getting them =D oh and if you think any other chi flat iron is better please let me know which one and why!

CHI's sometimes last 1 year, usually 2-4.

Don't buy the turbo, it's the same as the regular but more expensive.

my older sister has one its still works perfect even after 2 years her hair stayes straight all the time but if it rains or is humid her hair frizzes out. If your hair is realy soft and it could easily get fried i would not recommened using it because the straightener gets extremly hot. I do not know of any other straightener that is better though but my Aunt told me about the chi blow dryer and she said it blow dryes your hair straight and even when its humid or she sleeps on it her hair is still straight so think about what i said and make your decision

I used to work at a beauty store and there is a straightner that actually has better reviews than the chi. Its H20 flat iron or something... I can't remember the name. But to tell you the truth... I have very thick naturally straight hair... and it still gets frizzy when I go outside for a long period or go out and get hot. Although the chi does keep the hair straighter than regular straightners, I have one and it works well and does the job really fast. Too keep my hair less frizzy... I use Serum's. My favorite Serum is Paul mitchell, charles worthington is good too, as well as frizz eaze. You don't have to get real expensive serums... the all work about the same. You can start with a small bottle if you have never used serum. don't put it on your roots, just the lower sections. then flat iron it. I also find it easier to manage when blow drying it, before flat ironing is to not put anything in it. I always feel that it's so much harder to blow dry. good luck. I would say about two hours it will stay frizz free.

Well, I have had my Chi Turbo 2" for three years now and it's still fantastic. Hair stays straight basically until you wash your hair but sometimes you have to do some retouching. But honestly, it's amazing, I def recommend you get one.
