How do I get Beachy wavy hair like the movie stars?

I have naturaly VERY tight curly hair. So I take like half an hour with a really good chi straightner ( i love it) and make it go really nice and straight. But I would like a change, and have my hair have that little bit of wave to it. Ive tryed looking at things on youtube on how to wave it using a strightner, but it just comes out as kinks, and I would like a bleachy look. My hair is meduim length when it stright. How do I get that nice look? ( after ive strightned it of course). Thanks!!

I don't have curly hair, so I'm not sure if it will work for you, but try showering at night. THen blow dry it and strightening it. Before you go to bed, put it in tight braids. Sleep with them in and take them out in the morning. You should have wavy hair! If you'd like, in the morning, while the braids are in, straighten over the braids, just to keep the shape. My hair is naturally wavy, but I bought this wave creating spray by Frederick Fekkai from Sephora. I spray it on different sections of damp hair and scrunch it. I leave it to air dry, and then I get that beachy hair look. You could also try sea salt water spray or something. Usually after a swim in the ocean, your hair gets all wavy, so it should work the same way. :)
