How to straighten hair correctly?

I have a chi flat iron (which is supposed to be the best). and when i straighten my hair with it, my hair gets frizzy, rough, and poofy about 10 minutes later. How do I prevent it from doing that? Alot of people who striaghten their have silky, shiny and smooth hair. How do I straightenmy hair "corectly?"

Always straighten your hair on a medium setting. Never too high or low. Towel dry your hair and make sure it's not dripping wet. Use a heat protectent spray like VO5 or CHI silk infusion. You can also use an antifrizz spray. Also, straighten your hair in small 1 to 2 inch sections. This will ensure that the heat is applied evenly.

go out and buy some heat defense spray and spray on before you straighten. do your hair in layers and spray each layer. if its still a little frizzy put some hairwax on it

CHI makes a product called Silk Infusion, its in a silver bottle with a red cap. apply just a little bit after towel drying hair. where ever you got your CHI should sell it. I also have a CHI, and I use the Silk Infusion and it makes my hair soft smooth and shiny =)

hey what i do is straighten my hair in layers then i have sunslik 24/7 creme hydra TLC (the pink bottle) and pour a lil-bit in my hand and run it through my hair and then my hair feels soft , smooth and bouncy. oh and don't put your staighter on the highest tem. it will burn your hair which can make your hair look dead and frizzy. good luck
